What are you listening to during cardio (if anything)?

Cathlete
I usually listen to a premix that I make of new music. Right now I'm listening to Madonna and Mariah Carey's new CDs. However, for "old school", I love:

Jefferson Starship "We Build This City"
Anything from the Rocky Soundtrack
David Bowie "Under Pressure"
B50-Twos "Love Shack"
Journey "Be Good To Yourself"

Laura

"The difficult periods of life provide the best opportunities to gain useful experiences and develop inner strength. " ~ Dalai Lama

This is a favorite mix of mine:

1. She's Not Me - Madonna
2. Baby, I'm A Star - Prince & The Revolution
3. You Dropped A Bomb On Me - Gap Band
4. You Can Make It If You Try - Sly & The Family Stone
5. Heartbreaker - Mariah Carey (and Jay-Z)
6. Crazy - Gnarls Barkley
7. Fame - David Bowie
8. Losing You - John Lennon

I love love love dance/house music to work out to with cardio... I love it cause it pushes me along... My favorite is from DJ Skribble - he has a lot of remixed music that you know and really keeps me moving.

All of the songs on this CD are awesome and he has a few other CD's that are great too.

I also use these when cleaning or working around the house or garden as they are just real up beat moving tunes.

Hi Anne,

If you like dance remixes, you might like this site.

They're not all winners, but there are some good ones. "Funky Goes to Hollywood" and "Don't Hold Back, Sweet Jane" (on the 2006 best of) are my current faves. There are links to mashups from 2005 and 2006 on that page as well.

Yesterday was...

Lava - B-52's
Dreaming - Blondie
Pump It - Black Eyed Peas
Route 66 - DePeche Mode
Some Fergie
Some Gwen Stefani

I like variety and stuff I can sing too.

I cant believe Michele didnt get here and say it first.

My top choice is Cardio Coach.

I also like iTrain.

I usually use my own music only when I weight train at the gym. I find audio guided workouts more fun.

Cardio Coach is the only thing I listen to for cardio.

I probably wouldn't push myself hard enough if I listened to my own music.

If I'm not following Cathe in a cardio workout my answer is the same as Allison - Coach Sean or Grace ;)

I'm with Laura. Coach Sean is great, but he keeps reminding you that you're working. When I listen to my own music, it's like I'm in a disco dancing and I feel no pain! :) I was listening to "Won't Get Fooled Again" on my nano with my super-sonic earphones and it was like I was flying. I looked down at my HRM and saw I was up to 162. At my age, I think that's like my 100% maximum! I definitely recommend that song.
