What are you getting your SO for Valentine's Day?

Happy Saturday, everyone!

When I was out at the mall the other day, I realized that Valentine's Day is already around the corner! So what are you all thinking about getting your SO's?

I'm planning to get my DH tickets to see _Spamalot_. I'm also thinking that a big box of dark chocolates (antioxidants, right?!
;-) ) would be good.

I know -- it's very commercialized, but I'll take any excuse to eat more chocolate!

We're with Shelley, except that I will sometimes use it as an excuse to bring home some chocolate for my little chocoholic. He really needs to avoid sweets, but I let him have chocolate a few times each year.

Sorry~ We ignore this "holiday", too.

When we were dating we would get each other cards, but that was it...17 years later...nothing and that is how we like it.

The best gifts we get for each other are on random days for no apparent reason, and not expensive!

IA with above folks. We don't make too big a deal of it. I do love a mushy card (from my affectionate but not verbally demonstrative sweetie).

White chocolate for him. Dark for me.

I usually make a slightly fancier dinner than usual.

My SO hates greeting cards of any kind. The only card I've ever received from him was some random, sappy romantic thing and he wrote "You make my insides all runny - or maybe that's the Olestra".

It's also a total non-issue for us too. And actually this year my DH will be at a mock trial tourney for his law school students. So, ummm, nothing.

He used to get me a dozen long stemmed white roses-my favorite, and I would write him a poem and frame it. Or one year, I took a passage out of 'The Art Of War" and had it framed. Pretty cool.
But after 8 years? A swift kick in the arse and a kiss!

I get our dog Georgie a Valentine's Day stuffed animal though, you know all those silly ones they come out with this time of year? It lasts about an hour, then Georgie takes it outside and rips it up. Every year, same thing!:7
