I'm gonna exercise. Big time. I only have two weeks to get Angela Bassett arms and Famke Janssen legs.

On Sunday/Monday, we're having weekend guests and going to a few parties. We live near the Chesapeake Bay/Rappahannock River and everyone around here takes their boats out to see fireworks displayed by a local resort.
Tonight, an Air Force band is playing at our local Commons and we're bringing a picnic supper and blanket to sit on and watch them. It's a lot of fun!
Today, the local Y (where I work) is conducting community hard hat tours before the new building opens in September. I'm giving some of the tours.
I sound like the Seinfeld episode where Elaine went to a wedding in India and the timeline was reversed!

Stay at home and clean, get a bunch of workouts in, make myself work on my long-neglected knitting project. Go out to the pool and swim. Go couch and/or mattress shopping--we can't decide which is more urgent. Probably go shopping with a friend on Monday, then walk down to the pier on Monday night and see if we can see the fireworks on our side of the river (I'm not sure--can't remember!).

So far, all I've done is sleep. I fell asleep at 8:30 last night and didn't wake until 11:30 this morning. Talk about needing a rest, huh??
But now that I'm all rested up, I'm ready to come to your party for some barbecue!
Just have to add this because it sounded so odd: While I was sleeping this morning, DH left with his biking group on a pizza tour. It's a 40-mile bike ride where they stop to "tour" all the best pizza restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Given his love for biking and pizza, I'll bet he's having a great time.
I should head out to the gym in a few.....
