What about Step, Jump and Pump?

I find this w/o to be so-so. It lacks a definite character and soul. It strikes me as comprising the bits of choreography that Cathe didn't know what to do with after creating Step Blast so she slung them all together to make SJP. It's not a stand out workout like SB or Lowmax.

But others like it.....

I'm one who really likes this one (just did it in fact!). I do agree it feels a little mish-moshy -- but what I like is that it's a decent cardio and a decent weight workout (for those who tend to do more moderate weights, that is). It gets me sweating. I find the squats on this workout to be more challenging than most other single squat sets. I enjoy the hi-lo as well. I think Step Blast is more fun in terms of step, but the two workouts together are worthwhile. I think I have advocated for this in earlier posts!

I'm another one that is really fond of this workout. I love this DVD because it has so much variety between SB and SJP with great premixes. As far as a fun ciruit workout though, IMHO SJP is very fun and I really like the music! :) :)

One of my favorite premixes is the 60 min. SB/SJP Cardio Circuit premix. It starts out with the SB WU going into the first Step Combo then the first hi/lo combo of SJP alternating like this through all three step combo's ending with the last two hi/lo combo's from SJP. It is a fun cardio workout. I defintely think SJP/SB is worth the purchase!

Another one I don't use as is. I use only the cardio portions of SJP since I weight train separately. It's a good workout to mish-mosh with portions of Step Blast, or any other cardio workout. If you like crosstraining workouts or circuits, you might like this one. I crosstrain only when my body needs shocking.

I like it. It is quite differnt from her other circuit workouts. As I am quite fond of circuits, I include this one. My favs are those on the terminator CD, Bootcamp, and HSTA and SJP. The one I like least is Cardio and Weights...I think this is a very easy circuit. I use Cathe's other circuits too but these are just my favs or least liked.
Also, there was a detailed post on just this very question only about 3 weeks ago. You should search the topic for more info.

I did this workout the first day home after a 5 day vacation (without any workouts - only walking). I found it to be challenging and was sore the next day. It worked my body differently than what I had been doing previously (I guess). I had just come of 2 months of the Hardcore DVD's. I liked it.

Oh I do love this one! It's a fun one! However, make sure you have your notes ready. It's a hard transition to do a high impact cardio section...then go to bicep curls....but loading the bar and then standing up on for the curls...is a rapid drop in the heartrate. So...have your notes handy!

I really like S,J&P. It may not be as difficult as Cathe's other circuit workouts, but it's one of her most fun. Plus, it's on the same DVD as Step Blast, which is a must. The DVD has so many great premixes that I find I use it quite a bit. I espcially like the different cardio only premixes. It's also got one of the best ab sections (second only, in my opinion, to the abs in Muscle Max). I'd get it.

I also really like this one. I don't care for the step portion and substitute MIC hi/low for that part and than tack on the SJP hi/low circuit. (I do this on days I want a longer workout). I love Cathe's floor cardio. SJP has great floor cardio and the circuit is also good. The music is really great too! I think this is a definite keeper! Go for it!

I agree with buying the SJ&P/Step Blast DVD as well. The premixes rock, I love mixing it up. This was my first Cathe DVD almost 2 months ago and now I own 11 titles!!! - obviously it SOLD me. You will not be disappointed.
