What about jeans for a boyish figure?

All this jeans talk & I'm looking to get a couple new pairs since mine have gotten a little snug in the thighs.

So I have almost no rear end at all--my waist is like 27 & my hips are like 34 so I'm built like a straight line. I usually go w/Lucky's b/c the price is reasonable but they seem to be smaller in the thighs although they fit well everywhere else.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated........

I'm not shaped like you, but I've heard of women wearing jeans with back pockets that 'fold over', or those with really low back pockets being flattering for women with flatter behinds.

Hi, I have a similar shape to yours. I have a lot of luck with Old Navy jeans. My waist is 25 and my hips are 32. Not much shape here. It's funny my sister in law can find pants to fit me better than I can. She tries them on and can tell how they fit on her how they will be on me. She has not much shape either.

I agree, Pixie. Jeans with pockets in the back are the way to go if you don't have enough...um...junk in your trunk.

Laura, Lucky has lots of different styles. I think you're referring to the Sweet 'n Lows, which are slim in the thigh. You might want to try another style.

I think I am shaped somewhat similar to what you described. My hips are 34 and my waist is 25. GAP bootcut originals really fit me well. I can go into a GAP store, pick up a pair of size 2 longs, and buy them without trying them on. They always fit!

A Lucky store opened near us and I tried them but didn't really like them at all. I guess you just have to try a bunch and go with what works. I have very long legs and am built like a ruler, and since I have been lifting heavier my thighs have gotten bigger and I hate things to be tight there. I had the same problem as you mentioned, the legs were just too snug. I wasn't impressed with the fabric either. IMHO for $100+ they better make me look like Kate Moss!

Anyway I tried on a bunch at Nordstroms and Macys and later on ended up with a pair of Calvin Kleins and then a pair of Tommy Hilfinger Boyfriend Cut jeans. They are straighter leg cut but still flare a little. They are mid rise...well the Hilfinger is pretty much low rise I guess.

I say go to a good department store and go into the dressing room with a few carloads. On 2nd thought, the Tommy Hilfingers were from one of their outlets if you have access to one.
