What a week!

Hi all,
just had to tell someone (because my family is sick of listening to me !!)

First, Im going to do my first 10k on memorial day, so I have been training for it since mid march--Im just doing a walk/jog, so I started out only being able to run 2 minutes per interval, and on Tuesday, I did my first full running mile--yippeeee. I know to many that doesnt seem like much, but its a HUGE milestone for me. (no pun intended)

Then today, I was going to do the bootcamp core only premix, and put in the DVD, was watching the opening segments where it shows some of Imax 2--interval 6 the tap hop repeaters (I think thats their name) and it finally came to me how to do them!! Right after the ab work, it had to grab my step and try that interval, and I DID IT!! I finally got it--plus, this is the first week I have been able to use 50 lbs on leg work!!

So far its just been a great week for me--hope everyone is having a good one too.

Thanks for listening
Jayne

Jayne:

congrats! Your body sounds like it is going into overdrive right now!!!!

I know the thrill of taking your leg work to 50 pounds! I conquered that 2 weeks ago and yesterday took it to 55 on PLB and did just great! I am as thrilled as you are, course I can't move for soreness too......ouch!

Woo-Hooo Jayne! That is a huge milestone! Great job! Keep up the great work, you'll just get better & better! :7 I love that tap/hop interval. I also had trouble at first and when I got it, it felt sooo good. Lots of fun! So happy to hear about your awesome week. You can come and talk to us anytime. We will listen!

Ok, two things to say here--

First,YOU GO GIRL!!! Your accomplishments are awesome.

Last, be careful not to overtrain while training for your run. I would hate for your weight leg work to "ruin" your 10k. I'm sure you are ok with that but it's just my nature to think "Oh, I can push myself a little with the weights." And then have it backfire on me.

Good luck on your 10k -- that's awesome!
