What a nice day today!

It started out w/ homemade banana bread and my favorite macaroon flavored coffee for breakfast, then CCPP and a dog walk. DH had to work today, so DS and I went to the LEGO Land Discovery Center. Then out to lunch w/ my dad. I ate an ostrich burger - pretty tasty - who knew??? Then we came home and DS built the LEGO we bought, and I made oatmeal choc chip cookies. DH came home, I worked on my cross stitch for a while, then we fed DS dinner, and took the dogger for a family walk. I took a lovely lavender bubble bath aaahhhhh. DS is in the shower now, and when he goes to bed, DH and I will be enjoying dinner, wine, and a movie together on the couch. And it was high 70s and sunny today. A wonderful day in all!!! Just had to share.

Doesn't it feel good when everything just seems to fall into place. Good for you for recognizing the flowers when you see/smell them and not take it for granted. You are truly blessed and thankful for it.....just makes me want to smile. Life IS good!

ETA: You all inspired me to do CCPP Saturday.....and DH and I had a wonderful day shopping and stimulating the economy.....something we rarely do. We got DH some pricy yard equipment for Father's Day. I joked that he wasn't really that good of a father last year.....but, HE was!

I spent some time outside with my son while he splashed around in his pool. I sat my azz on a chair in the sun, listening to my ipod and reading a book. I was happy. Too bad DS was ready to go back inside after only an hour. Drat! LOL Yesterday evening DS, DH and I went out for a quick bite to eat and then drove down to the outlets by me. It was a nice shopping trip as it's an outdoor strip mall type set up. I scored a couple of inexpensive but way cute items. Me happy!

I love it when days go like that...so nice and easy....simple!

I had a pretty good day yesterday too. I had to go to work for a couple of hours,came home and my living room/kitchen was clean, a surprise from my wonderful husband and my two babies( son is 4, daughter is 7) we ate lunch together, DH took the kids outside while i did 4DS legs then some cardio on the treadmill, then we went to pick out something for my mom's b-day tommorrow. We ate some dinner then took the kids out to let them play on the swingset while DH and I sat and talked while drinking our evening coffee.....it was such a nice day. So pretty out too, in the mid 80's.
