Hello Friends.
Today and last night, my cats have been nice to me. They would scratch on my door if I locked them out.
Intensity, I did it once whole. I need to burn some major calories.
Yes, the place I plan to travel was just posted on FB. I could swim to Ontario, Canada from there.

Some GREAT news!!! The other day, my inner voice (GOD) was nudging me to post my blog on my former colleges groups sites on Linked in. I did and I got a message to contact a marketing/advertising firm out of Vegas. The actual blog was about the talent in my program whom are experienced, quality and want to contribute to a business's success. The exposure on both groups will be over 35 thousand people. Also, my friend from my current internship didn't get it, she kept putting down the group on their expectations but I told her that it didn't take away from their talent/experience. It came about from a meeting on Wednesday morning with the group.
 
Just wanted to say Hi guys! Hopefully I'll be back after the garage sale sale today. I'm gonna go try and squeeze in Gym Style Legs.

Morning ladies!

Yesterday I did Butts and Guts, minus the floor section but added the bonus leg presses and glute squeezes on the ball. When I got to the plank section of the abs I was like "dear lord, there is no way I'm doing a plank today!":eek: My upper body was soooo sore from HC Bootcamp on Thursday! Now I have some lower body DOMS to balance out the upper body ones I'm still feeling. I'm all evened out now;). Time for a rest day for sure!:p

I am determined to conquer HC Bootcamp! I'm going to try and do that one every other week sort of like I have done with Afterburn. I have to admit, I still pause AB right around the third drill to keep my heart from bursting out of my chest, though! For some reason I just can't get over that hump and need an extra 10 seconds before going on.:eek:

Natty- I do love Sandra from HC! She is very sweet and professional, like Cathe. Her production values aren't nearly as polished but she is really just starting out so I can look past that.

Darn it, just got a file. Gotta get to work...I'll be back later to write more responses!
 
Gym Styles - Legs done. i really like that one and used to do it one to 2 times a week. Right now my legs are looking very muscular, I think spinning has taken them to the next level. My hubby has been saying for about 3 weeks that my butt is rock hard. While I maybe be happy with the LB I hold my weight in my middle section. Yesterday I got up early before the garage sale and ran 6 miles.

Colleen I am watching a video clip of HC right now. Thanks :( On the scale HC, weighted vest, Mindy Myrlea new spinning DVD, or Kettle Bell stuff?? How do I decide?

Nat - I hate city traffic too. I remember when I would just sit on the the freeway for upwards of 45 min. Now it just seems like such a hassle plus the fumes get to me. In our town if there is more than 2 cars at the stop light it is considered traffic.

Jen - It sounds like pieces of the puzzle are being put together. My hubby wants me to go to 5 guys for a hamburger today. I love their french fries ALOT.

Garage sale got rained out today. Yesterday we made about 400 but we also sold some of our 2 year old chickens. Today it's pouring and about 60 degress so we quit. We will just have to have it again next weekend. The garden will not be planted again for atleast 5 days because it has rained that much. I got a new tent for camping this year. Thats where most of the money will go to. Anything left over I will give to my mom because some jerk ran over her lace leaf maple tree yesterday and completely chopped it down to the ground. To boot they didnt even say anything about it, she was so pissed she cried.

Hello everyone!

Today's w/o was D19 (chest, shoulder's & tri's). Thank god for my weighted gloves! Those puppies really come in handy w/the 5% increase and DWL. You'd never think 1/2lbs or 1lbs could make a difference, but when you are fatigued, oh boy watch out! I'm happy to report bench pressing 50lbs :eek:. I tend to err on the extra side of caution with barbell bench presses though, afraid I won't be able to squeeze in that last rep, and then I'm screwed :confused:.

On a happy note, I was at Wal-Mart today picking out produce and glanced at the mirror in front. I actually saw a beautifully defined V-line in my arm! Those muscles are really popping! I was wearing a tank top, and I swear the cashier was looking at my arms! Perhaps I was delusional :confused:. Whatever, I felt good and very confident, and I know my hard work is starting to pay-off. If I could only clean up my diet even more, I'd know my body fat % would decrease, but I just don't have that much dedication. I would have to think twice about consuming a nice glass of wine tonight ;)

Congrats on the news! From my past experiences, gut instincts are never wrong. I think you will benefit greatly from your blog exposure :).
Did you do Intensity? If you did, way to go! That one is super hard :eek:.

Congrats on the rock hard butt!! I'm sure your hubby...oh I mean you...must like that. You are doing amazing! Spinning, running, weights. You fit lady you! I'm sorry to hear it rained on your garage sale. That's usually the case. And also when you plan a beach day.

It's always the trainers that remind us of Cathe that we tend to lean towards. That's why I like Tom Holland ;).

Colleen-B&G is a tough one like TB. When I'm burnt, I will sit out on some exercises. Not worth the injury.

Sarah-Sorry to hear your garage sale got rained out. How rude to run over a tree and not admit to it. Someone must've seen it. We need rain here and am supposed to get it today. Don't own any GS. Nice of your DH to notice

Natty-Congrats on your bench pressing!! Very impressive. I start 3 week, cycle 2 on Monday. Understand about eating, discipline and such. B/c of my stupid phone app, I pass by all the goodies now.


Updates:
Personal. Mark and I will never happen, not for a long time. He would rather be right then to have friends/relationships. Most of his FB friends are women and out of the USA. My suggestion was to just be friends, he agreed, which is better than defriending him.
Other: My conversation lasted two hours with the call from Vegas. He is partner with an high-performance automotive supplier and must move to MI to break into the consumer market thru OEM like Ford, Chrylser and GM. He graduated from my alma martur. He is interested in hiring me and possibly my cohorts from the program to create business in MI. Yes, listening to my inner voice has made my blog what it is and has saved me from a lot of pain with Mark.
My workout tonight will be Intensity. Friday night, I went to a party on a lake that feeds into Lake MI on a deck/pier right on the water. Saturday, I went to church and watched BBC America on PBS.
Monday, I should get another call from Vegas and job hunt.
 
Yesterday I took a 2 mile walk with my son and dog between the rain showers. Today will be a rest day maybe with another walk.

I've said it before and it needs to be said again. I LOVE OATMEAL. I really think I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I feeling slight DOMS in my hammies (thats what my hubby calls them) from GS yesterday.

I'm beginning to think the garden wont happen this year as we are leaving on the 8th of July for vacation. If the weather doesn't starighten up for about five days with a dry spell it won't happen. We have to much clay in our soil and it just makes clods evrywhere. Literally when I get done walking around in the garden. I'm carrying an extra 15 pounds of clay on the botton of my shoes because it just sticks to everything.

Last night I made delish balck bean soup garnishes with lime, avacado, and yogurt (instead of sour cream). I dont mind that swap at all.

Good morning everyone :)

Italy is advancing to the semi's in Euro Cup :D. What a nail biter that game was going into penalty kicks. England played sensational though. It was a clean, intense, well-played game.

I bite the bullet and did 40/20 yesterday :eek:. I remember when I first tried that sucker out 1 year ago, and how far I've come. Although I still dread pressing play, it does not completely destroy me anymore. I also drank some coconut water during it...maybe that's the trick ;).

I always say "if it's mean to be, it will happen". I love men, don't get me wrong, but I feel the same as Colleen. Here's a perfect example of how they can be total douchebags (as I'm sure you already know). My ex from PEI, he is always contacting me to ask for advice about his relationship with his girlfriend. Last time I checked, I was not Dr. Ruth. I have my own problems and life buddy. Anyway, he told me one evening if I could go "take a walk" and talk to him. Really? C'mon now. So I told him to handle his own s**t, and that he was a big boy and to figure things out. He has not contacted me since (perhaps my straightforwardness caught him off guard. I just had enough). You are such a beautiful person inside/out, if your priority is to find a companion, you will find him and he will be the right one for you :)

Love steel cut oatmeal too. I love finding yummy food to put into it (like dark chocolate and apricot pieces).

Hello ladies!
Yesterday I decided to go easy on my joints and did Travel Fit. :) I'm always in love with the creativity of her band use in that one. Every time I do it I think "I really need to do this one more!". So many good workouts, so little time!:eek: Today will be Kettlebell Kickboxing and tomorrow I'm looking forward to Horizontal Conditioning. Now that I've done all the HC's once through I hope I can do them more smoothly and straight through without pausing to figure out what she's doing. 5 more days to Disney!

Sorry I don't have anything to contribute about the Euro cup Natty. I'm not one to watch sports of any kind...live or televised.:eek: When Mark took me to a Packer's game in Indianapolis once (they were playing the Colts and we were visiting his friend who lived there), my mind just kept wandering and I sort of zoned out on the field. If someone asked me the score or what was going on I'd be all "huh? Oh yeah, I'm at a Packers game!":eek: Good job on 40/20 yesterday!:eek: I love coconut water, too. Lots of potassium!

Sarah- I like to call hamstrings hammies, too. :p That's too bad you won't get the garden in this year. Ours is doing really well...I have my fingers crossed that our neighbor waters it like he says he will when we're in Florida. Mark is diligent about watering it twice a day. Our soil is pretty much all sand. It can rain all day and the next day the top layer will be dry as a bone!:( That's so funny how you were all trying to decide what to buy next. It's a tough choice! Of course, now that I'm all into HC I'd recommend that! A year ago I would have said kettlebell stuff first. It's tough to decide! Thank goodness I don't spend a lot of money on other interests! Mark knows I'm not into jewelry, purses, shoes or expensive clothes and that this is my only hobby so he rarely says anything about all the stuff I buy. He knows I use it all, too. At least until the next new thing comes along!:eek:

Jen- that's too bad it's not going to work out with your Mark. It would've been kinda fun for all 3 of us to have Mark's! :D It would be tough to nurture a new relationship when you're so focused on the job hunt, though. It's nice to have companionship but men can be very time consuming with their neediness! They say women are needy but I always found it the other way around, at least in my relationships;). That party on Lake Michigan sounds nice. Lake Michigan is so nice, it reminds me of an ocean it's so big!

I forgot to mention in my last post, I have my mother over today. I'm feeling a lot of stress and anxiety already. She brought over a crap load of McDonald's breakfast and tries to force Bella to eat it. Bella is having some #2 issues from the muti-vitamins + iron I got her by mistake, and I don't want her eating too much junk. I think my blood pressure must be 160 right now. Sorry to vent, just wanted to let off some steam. Have a good day.

Natty-Not into soccer, unfortunately, although seeing the scores do interest me. Yes, men are douchebags. My honesty caught him off too cause I mentioned something in regards to him not keeping his word. Good for you to stand up to him!! 40/20, never did it but think I can do it.

Update. Nothing from the company in Vegas today. Read some Social Media job postings and nothing relates to actual social media-HR translation of actual jobs is always interesting. No internship today. : )
Yes, being job focused with a new relationship would be stressful. He and I started out good but he always had the "uppperhand" or control of knowledge of some stuff with State jobs and CU jobs. My blogging has put him out of his comfort level plus it gaining exposure.
This weekend, again, I will be at Saugatuck/Douglas right near Lake MI (again) for another party. I will be making my taco dip. It has a sour cream/cream cheese base mixed with some salsa. Next layer, shredded lettuce, then rest of salsa, then topped with cheese. tastes best with nacho flavored Doritos. My calorie counter will bust this Saturday.
 
Natty, I just saw your post and I apologize for not seeing it sooner.
Pushing a young child to eat fried foods is wrong cause its giving the wrong message to your daughter. I would be ticked off too. Your Mom should've called ahead first and asked if she could treat Bella with the food. Some kid's systems don't process fried foods good.

Thanks for the post on FB about Intensity. I did 90% of it. Not a workout to do just after a nap.
 
Yes Nat, I'm sorry you were stressed. However I do like their sausage mcmuffin:eek: although haven't had one in probably 4 years. You probably did an awesome workout last night to get all your frustrations out :mad:

I listened to the thing about the french kids not being fat. I thougt it was very interesting. My kids didn't even eat alot of baby food. I would chop up our dinner really fine so they could eat it. There were only a few varieties of baby food they would eat.

Good for you Jen doing Intensity. I grew to really love that one with the last rotation. I occasionally have nacho cheese doritos and dip them in softened cream cheese, so bad, soooo good.

I apparently screwed up the internet connection yesterday. My husband said I touched his comp. tower when I was in the comp. room. When I did this, the internet and is comp. both went out. He spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out what went wrong. He never did but it was back on last night right before bed :D

I did Cyclemax yesterday. Today I'm slotted to do Pyramid UB, I might switch it out for a TB workout though, or Bootcamp.

I got so OCD yesterday after doing Cyclemax in the comp. room I started cleaning things out. I filled up 3 more totes for the garage sale. I probably should have done this before last week :eek:

So excited by the time I come back from vacation there will be new Cathe presents waiting for me at home :eek:

My mind wanders during sports also. Although we did go to a Portland Timbers game last year (soccer). I enjoyed it but for all the wrong reasons. The fans were amazing. Literally the whole game was chanting, signing, hand moves, dancing it was so much fun to watch.

Natty- I hope your feeling better and less stressed today! Nothing like family stress, unfortunately.:( Bella will know bad from good by watching you and having you for a role model so know it'll be okay in the end. That's about all we can do is be good role models for our kids! My kids are just starting to become aware of how screwed up some of our family members are. It's tough because you can't exactly point it out to them...you want them to love their extended family and don't want to disrespect them, but the kids they do start to catch on;). One thing that's been really difficult for us is that, as messed up as my own mom can be...Mark's mom is infinitely worse. It's gotten to the point where we rarely see his mom and step dad anymore and the kids will ask about them. It's tough because while we want the grandparents in their lives it is hard when there is SO much toxicity you worry about it affecting the kids.:( I just get so frustrated sometimes! I think why can't they just be NORMAL??:confused:

Anywhoo...my workout today was HC Volume 2. :) Love the dragging planks over the step move!:eek: I was a little naughty doing that one though as my neck and right shoulder were bothering me a little this morning but I did it anyway:eek:. It was feeling better but now I'm wondering if I need to give the chiropractor a little visit. We'll have to see:eek:. Sometimes I'll sleep on my side weird or I'll throw my right arm up over my head while I sleep if I'm on my back and it messes with my neck and shoulder. It's funny because my mom, sisters and brother all do it, too (arm up over the head thing). Weird!

Tomorrow will be CSS. Can't wait!

Sarah- isn't that weird how touchy technology can be? I swear sometimes I'll just look at the computer funny and it'll go all wonky!:rolleyes: I get OCD with cleaning, too...and then get all stressed out when Mark and the kids mess up everything within minutes!

Jen- That taco dip sounds awesome! I could eat Mexican/southwest style food all day every day and be happy...maybe throw a little Italian in sometimes, too. ;) Great job on Intensity! How's STS going? Any strength gains that you've noticed?

Hello everyone :)

Thanks all of you for sympathizing with me and my "family" problems. I hate to have a mother that is so dysfunctional, but that's the reality. It's not just the crappy food she pushes on Bella, it's a lot of other things just piling up. I think my tolerance for ignorance is pretty good, but she just knows how to push my buttons...and I don't think she respects my thoughts & wishes, especially on how I choose to raise my daughter. I could tell you so many screwed up things she has said/done, but I won't. I'm just very happy the apple fell FAR from the tree in my case.

Yesterday I did Rhythmic Step. Fun & sweaty :D

Today's w/o will be my last legs disc of M2 :(...with my new vest :D. Wish me luck! I'm bent on frying my legs and butt tonight ;).

I went to the grand opening of the Disney Store at the mall near my house yesterday. I felt the magic :D. You guys are gonna have a blasty blast :D.
Sorry to hear about your family problems too. The grass is never greener on the other side, it's just different shades...sometimes yellow and burnt too :confused:.

My internet connections have been really temperamental, and Mark figured out that our router needed replacing. It's been fine ever since. You never know, that could be the problem with yours.

Intensity is crazy. I'm so proud you did it. So many people are intimidated by Cathe's hardcore cardio, but I believe anyone can do them, even if that means going at your own pace and modifying if needed. You are awesome!

At my internship early to do an audit. Things are going well. My caloric count is low although my intensity is up with STS. I plan to finish cycle 2 this week to prep for the new DVDs. Although, doing plyo legs in 3 plus the workouts might be too much. I will let you know. Did about 90% of Intensity b/c I had just woke up from a nap, not good, and had a few minor issues. As time went on, it got better.
Natty-Yes beer would be involved, it would be fun for sure. Hopefully, you and your Mom can come to a truce although she needs to respect you in that.
Sarah-Congrats on Cycle Max, I'm intimidated by my spin bike. Have with the garage sale.
Colleen-Good luck with HC 2. I have problems too when I sleep weird then add the cats then forget about it.

Maybe, one more day of work. No word again from Vegas although he was interested in the group, he has alot of commitments so I may offer to help out for a fee. Tonight is disc 21.
 
Good afternoon ladies :)

I did my last legs disc of M2 yesterday...WITH MY 20LBS VEST! I used it for 90% of the workout and loved it! Using the vest, I was forced to perform the exercises with no less than 20lbs, adding weight if necessary. I was challenged no doubt :eek:.

Hey everybody!

I'm excited and scared, too!:D I think to start with I'm going to do the less impact premixes and see how it goes. If I get brave and I'm feeling good I may try the regular workout with the higher impact. I'm thinking for some of the To the Max drills I will have to lower the step height, though. I have to wait until I get back from Florida...it's going to kill me reading everybody's posts on the new workouts:eek:. Even with lightening fast delivery I'm sure I won't get them before Friday when we leave.:( Something to look forward to!

Today was CSS the premix with the bonus step. Love how sweaty I get with that!:D

Natty- congrats on using the 20 lb weighted vest!:eek: DOMS are coming for sure!

Tonight update. No workouts so I grilled chicken, made some stuffing also have sweet corn. 500 calories. Today at my internship, it was slow and boring plus both of us were tired. Good news is my blog is consistent with readership now. Don't like reading stats at all though.
Hope to finish cycle 2 before the new ones come, I preordered when notification came out for the presale. So, I will preview after STS.

Natty-Congrats on the vest!! DOMS in your future. Cathe needs you in her next set of workouts next to Cedie.

Colleen-Be safe in FL. Heard there is beach erosion plus roads are out. Yes, keep up here cause I hopefully will get mine before the Holiday.

Yesterday was D...something :p. Who the heck can remember at 7am? Back and bi's, that's all I remember. My last of M2 :(. Great little workout coming in at 43min :D. I felt that 5% increase, oh boy! :eek:

Today's w/o will be Imax1 :eek:.

I'm going to a sports bar with Mark and his buddies to watch the soccer game today (semi-finals). My cousin is watching Bella :D. We usually share some pitchers of beer and have a pretty good time...well when we used to do that kind of stuff BC (before children). I've known these guys my whole life almost, since grade 6.

Although if I tried hard enough, I could maybe look like Deazie. Remember her? She had a very "ample" bottom, but a smokin' toned bod. Ha! In my dreams ;)
I'm jealous you get to try out the new workouts before me :(. Just in time for recovery week too :mad:. You'll do just fine :)...thank goodness Cathe has all those premixes!
