We're In This Together *~August~*

Hello everyone :)

Yesterday's w/o was Plyo Legs W4. My butt and hammies are killin' today :D:D.

Today will be PUB.

Jen
I hope you are feeling better today. I understand about having those "blue" days :(.
I'm happy to hear your walking is giving you a slimmer profile :). All those steps are magic I tell ya!
I laughed at the leader calling himself "Yoda". How odd .
I hope your application with GM goes through.

Colleen & Sarah
Hope you are both doing well. It's been so quiet without the both of you :(.

Have a good night ladies :)

Hi!

Finally checking in. The last few days were a little touch and go with my mom but she seemed to have finally turned a corner late last night. Long story short...they were going to do a colonoscopy because they couldn't figure out why her hemoglobin was still going down but then for some mysterious reason it rebounded last night and they cancelled the colonoscopy. It sounds like they are going to discharge her tomorrow. I just talked to her and she seems to be in pretty good spirits. They did have someone come in and talk to her about her depression issue...I'm not sure if she will follow up with it or not. I get worried that once she's back at home she'll fall back in to old (bad) habits. I guess we'll just have to see.

As for Lydia, she was totally fine the next day! I took the day off of work and she was all bouncy and happy practically from the moment she woke up. I was like, seriously? lol Kids bounce back quickly!

This week I've been doing my light/stretchy/recovery week. I've been going through all my Ellen's and doing them. Monday was Power Fusion, Tuesday Fat Burning Fusion, today was Barefoot Cardio and tomorrow will be Grace and Gusto. :) I can tell I totally needed a recovery week! Especially with all the stress going on and on top of that it's ttotm for me.

Natty- Whoo hoo! Good job on Plyo legs! How are you liking your rotation?
I really like Jillian's yoga meltdown...I need to dig that out soon!

Jen- omg, the guy calling himself yoda totally cracked me up! I hope your feeling better today.

Okay, gotta run!

TTYL

Hello Friends,
Friday Eve is always good.

Natty-Plyo Legs Wk 4 is a killer workout, I understand your pain. PUB is good too. How warm is it there? Any plans for the weekend? Not into Jillian. That dude from Extreme Makeover, yes.

Colleen-Happy to hear both Mom and daughter are doing better. Lydia was happy to have you around all day long.

Sarah and Nikki: We miss you!!

Update: Yesterday, I was asked to assist in a class at Michigan Works (State run job search places) for social media next month. The Director was impressed about my blog that they posted for everyone to follow. My walking is going well, simple and different although some soreness with calves due to shoes.
The "Yoda" title is ridiculous in a Christian setting or otherwise. It turned me off completely. He disagrees with a lot about social media and personal brand in regards to job hunting and preaches it fiercely. He's making sure he has job security more than assisting others from what I observe. Not cool.
Men. Staying away from him on FB now. Got him hooked into TED beforehand though.
My goal is to move back to metro Detroit within the next 12 months. I would love to work in that position with GM. Even Detroit Chamber of Commerce. Two trips next month plus maybe a drive over there this Sunday.

Have a Great Day!!

Good morning ladies :)

Oh man, my UB is sore today :D :D. I was going to bail on my workout yesterday, as I have been feeling a lot of stress lately with Bella and her #2 issues :(. It's not that's she constipated, as much as she's holding it in for some reason . It's a viscous cycle I can't get out of. I've been tired, moody, cranky, irritable, and just downright peeved. Anyone who think SAHM's have it easy, I would love to kick them in the face right about now .

Today's w/o will be some steady state cardio. I need my mind to focus on something either than poop problems, so I will chose a complex step workout.

Colleen
I knew Lydia would recoup quick :). Little girls are so resilient that way...and hard headed too  :D.
I hope everything goes well with your mom.
Your recovery week sounds lovely. I will be doing that soon too :).

Jen
I don't think Nikki is with us anymore :(. So many people just "disappear" from check-in's, without notice or warning sometimes. I guess they realize it's not something they need or want, or perhaps they are too busy with their every day lives. I hope Sarah didn't bail too :(.
Regarding TED, is that TED Talks? If it is, I really like that series.
I'm happy to hear The Director was impressed about your blog and posted for everyone to follow :).

Have a good day ladies!

Nope, I don't think Nikki is. Yeah, I hope Sarah didn't bail either.
Yes, TED talks. Technology Entertainment Driven. I have the app on my phone. One of the chapters is following me on Twitter.
Yesterday, I was stunned too.

Just a quick check-in...

Yesterday's w/o was 4DS high/low Intensity Step cardio 50min.

I'm going to the beach today sans child :D :D. I need a break.

Happy Friday!

Hello Friends,
Natty- love that step combo.

Great news. Major social media site is following my blog on Twitter. My exposure went up 45k. Plus, a healthcare company near Flint.
Good news. Interview on Wednesday in my old industry in a corporate setting. I will keep my blog and my hope for the position.

Whoa jen that's amazing! You must be sooooo stoked!!

I'm typing this on my wee little blackberry so sorry for any typos! ;)
I'm at the town pool right now with the kids. I had today off so we're going to hang here for a few
Hours. Today I did jeanette jenkins power yoga...the whole entire 80 minutes!! I usually just do the power flow chapter which comes in at 45 minutes. Let me tell ya, 80 minutes is a wicked long time to do yoga! Lol
I'm going to take tomorrow off and rev the intensity back up on sunday with one of my HC workouts. If I have time I may do a quick cardio finisher by using one of the premixes on CF...we'll see how much energy I have!

Have fun at the beach natty!
I think sarah is at that vacation place in idaho (?). If you are reading posts sarah, I hope you're having fun!!

Jen
Congrats on such high blog exposure!! That's so great :D
Finger's crossed for Wed interview!

Colleen
Hope you had fun at the pool w/the kiddies :).
80min of Yoga??!! You go girl! That's awesome!!
I love the premixes in Crossfire. The Triple Tabata Premix is friggin' awesome .

Have a great weekend ladies!

Good Saturday Morning, Friends!!

Colleen-Typing on any phone is an issue. Hope your Mom is doing better.

Natty-Did you have fun at the beach?

Last night, I was in Saugatuck south of Holland near Lake MI. Its a village full of bars, restaurants and art galleries. Change of tide, I was asked to possibly present during the next cohort from my old program. The group last night was mainly decision-makers whom were geeked about my blog. A presenter had her boyfriend from Toronto. Total Babe. He was stunned on how much I know about Ontario.
The interview I have on Wednesday, the job is still open which is unusual. On some GOD thing on FB, it said choose opportunities where my heart is. A lot of times, its spot-on. My blog is 3 months old today. Grateful for the doors that have opened.

Happy Saturday :)

Going to a provincial park/trail shortly. Lots of outdoor walking and activities :).

Not sure if I will be doing a short cardio later on in the evening.

Jen
The beach was very lovely. Thank you for asking :).
Yup, lots of hot men in Toronto ;). With 3 million people, there has to be some hotties ;). Too bad you can't work there freely. I think Canada/USA should have a less stricter policy on working legislation. It's hard enough to even travel there for 1 damn day without getting harassed by US officials . Every time I have crossed the border near Niagara, they treat me and my entire traveling party like criminals. Listen buddy, we want a fun filled day at Darien Lake. Is that too much too ask?

Have a great day ladies!

Hello everbody. I missed our check - in. We had a three day camping trip and turned around 2 days later and went to Idaho for the week. I tired and glad to be home, although this next week is very busy. During the 2 days we were home before Idaho we bought a new Ford Explorer :D I just didn't want to make that drive hauling a trailer with a car I didnt trust (and for good reason with 250,000 miles).

I read through all your old posts.

Colleen, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Sounds like your week, of lower key workouts was a great idea. Lydia vomiting on herself in the middle of the night was a nice way to top off the whole thing  I have never had that happen where the kids just went back to sleep after puking.

Nat- Hopefully this whole thing Bella just blows over sooner rather than later. I did think it was more of a constipation issue not a "I'm gonna hold it in until I turn brown" I used to do that when I was a kid and away from my house. I would go 6 days sometimes :(

Jen - I can't really fathom that amount of views on your blog. I'm happy if I get 50 views for my business  Congrats you are really connecting to people and you saw a empty space in the market.

I am working in the yard today so that will be my workout. I'm sweating like a pig. My diet has been crap for 2 weeks so looking at my belly right now it would be safe to say I've gained 5 pounds. I will not get on the scale though because it just doesn't matter ( does it sound like im trying to convince myself, I am ) My eating habits are back on track today. It's just easier when I'm at home and can control when and what I eat.

On a completely different subject my husband received a formal offer to relocate us to Alaska for Fred Meyer (the company he works for). It is someplace I have always wanted to live.

Sarah

Hello Friends,

Happy Sunday! Didn't sleep well last night. Had a great topic for my blog hit me last night but will post in a few.

Colleen-Hope everything is well at home and with your Mom.

Sarah-Is your business advertising on FB? Does it have a FB page that links to the website? Are you using Twitter to target audience? Because my product is a cause, it wouldn't be right to advertise so I use Twitter to make people aware of my blog. Hootsuite followed me cause my account went into "mediation" with them, 3 hours later request to follow. These other places, I got retweeted by TEDxDetroit although they don't follow me. Do you plan to move to Alaska? Wow!! Relocations don't involve a great locale. My DS may have to move to DFW. Congrats on the new Ford!

Natty-Due to the friendship agreement with Canada/US, the people that work across the border have special papers and stickers on cars. When visiting for a day is horrible. My ex and I got stopped and they tore apart my car at Sault Ste. Marie. Yes, I told the young man if he had any Uncles he would like to fix me up with, I'm for it. He was amazed I didn't date Americans my junior year in college but only Canadians. Hoping to move to Detroit area in the next 12 months but hope we can get together before then.

Yesterday, no road trip to Canton/Novi. Ordered Chinese though. I told the owner/chef I get 3 meals out of it and he admitted to giving me extra cause I give them a lot of business plus I tip more than 12%. Idea came to me last night to blog about forgiving the former employer. Chose not to use Urban Dictionary but Mayo, Webster and some Biblical references.

Happy Sunday ladies

Yesterday we went to a provincial nature park with hiking trails. It was pretty amazing to say the least. We met up with Mark's best buddy (they've been friends for over 25yrs) and his girlfriend. We had a bbq on the picnic grounds which included pork chops, hot Italian sausage, potato and macaroni salad :p. It was a lovely day. My workout was walking the trails .

Today's w/o will be Muscle Max.

Sarah
Glad to have you back! I missed reading your posts :).
Congrats on the new car!
I understand about eating like crap when you are not home/on vacation. I'm sure with all the yard work, house duties, and Cathe workouts, you'll shed the 5lbs fast :). It's probably mostly water retention too because of salty/high sodium foods.
OMG ALASKA!! Mark's former boss lived there for a few years and he said it was the most incredible experience of his life. The pictures look breathtaking. I heard the quality of life there is totally different from the rest of US residents, almost as if they are a separate country.

Jen
LOL, you have guts asking the guy to set you up with an uncle . That's totally awesome :D.
I love how the Chinese place gave you an extra meal. All the Chinese places here are total A-holes! It does not matter how much business you give them, they will still try to charge you extra, skimp out on the meat, or forget a dish .

Gotta run! I'm making homemade burgers w/ground beef & veal, stuffed with Havarti cheese :p :p.

Good afternoon everyone :)

Yesterday's w/o was Muscle Max. I feel like the workout is pretty well rounded except for legs. I will start adding my own 100 Rep Challenge at the end of it which will includes various LB exercises like elevated lunges, squats, and dead lifts.

Today's w/o will be Crossfire. The. Whole. Workout.. Wish me luck!

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Your burgers sound really good because I am a huge fan of havarti, HUGE fan. I have never had veal though before.

I took the dog for a walk on Saturday and have cleaned up my eating habits over the last couple of days. But I ran out of time to exercise again. Argh, I am thinking if its gonna get done this week I will have to wake up in the wee early hours of the morning in order to do it.

My husband countered on the offer in Alaska so now the ball is in there count again. I would love to go to Alaska but they will have to show us the $$$.

Denzel is my # 1 crush ;)

Jen - I am not advertising on FB. I'm nervous to spend more money in what is already seeming to be a monet pit. No Twitter either, just not really sure about all of that new tech savy, social stuff. I am ignorant about all of it. I just get more confused when I try and learn and I overthink everything I write about and think too.

Sarah

No workout for me today. Yesterday I did STS total body up until the abs/core segment at the end and then I stopped the dvd and put in Horizontal Conditioning for the ab work. To be honest, I just did 20 minutes of that as I was getting my butt kicked! One recovery week and I always feel like I lose so much strength! I had nice total body DOMS today. It was great because I felt just slightly sore in every muscle (upper, lower, back and core) but not debilitating like sore. Just enough to know I worked it good!

Natty- I realized after my post in OD about Breaking Bad how you don't see the new episode until Monday night! D'oh! Luckily I didn't spoil anything too major though so you should still be good. Come back in the morning to check in after you watched it though and let me know what you thought!
Good luck with CrossFire! That's on my agenda for tomorrow, too!! :D

Sarah- Welcome back! Yay! We were worried we lost ya! Don't worry about the vacation setting you back. I always fall off the rails when I go on vacation. As long as you get back on track when you get home, I don't see the harm in it. It's tough when you get out of your routines. I'm a total routine/habit girl. If my schedule is all over the place I'm a wreck. I don't know how good I would be at sticking to exercise if I had to work out of town a lot with no set schedule.

Jen- I still can't believe how much exposure your getting with your blog. Millions of people...it's mind boggling really! How's the walking going? Are you getting any Cathe workouts in?

Oh I forgot to mention Natty- my sister and her husband are going to be coming your way! They decided to take a long Labor Day weekend (leaving on Wednesday) to go visit our cousins in Pembroke, Ontario. I haven't been up there in ages, but Areka is honestly closer to them than I am and her husband really gets along well with one of my cousins. They love to go fishing with them! :)

G'night girls!
