Well, Donna? Any Good News?

Sorry ladies...no news today. :( Hopefully that just means they were too busy doing other things to figure out my offer and I'll hear something tomorrow. I did talk to the headhunter around noon, and he said they had a call into the company, but hadn't connected yet.

I HATE WAITING!!!!!!
 
I was a little worried yesterday that maybe something was happening that would prevent me from getting the job. Like maybe...the first lady I spoke with (who is the VP of HR) didn't agree with the woman who wants to hire me and she was telling her "NO". But then I remembered that the VP is not her boss, that she reports to someone who already said "OK" based on my resume.

So then I was thinking this morning that maybe they're checking my references. And I got a little panicked because I think I may have given the phone number to the main voice mail system when giving the number to the EVP of HR at my last job. D'OH!

I sent both ladies Thank You emails yesterday and didn't hear anything. But this morning I opened my email and got a very positive email response from the one who would be my boss. That's starting my day with a smile. Perhaps TODAY will be the day!:)

Is Joey still doing the newborn Tai-Chi moves? I loved when Teri did that. I can't remember how long it lasted though. Probably only a couple weeks.

I had to do a new hire orientation presentation this morning and when I got finished, I saw that I had a voice message on my cell phone. It was from the headhunter and he wanted to know what my current salary is. I actually bumped it up by $5000, because I think my total compensation package would put me to at least the amount I said I made. He called the hiring manager to let her know, then he called me back and said they're putting together the offer and I should hear something this afternoon, tomorrow at the latest.

YIPPEEEEE!!!!! And as I was driving away from the building where we do the new hire orientations, I was thinking to myself, "I'll never have to do a presentation on our boring policies again!!!!!!"
