weighted/boxing gloves and heavy bag question

I have some weighted gloves from Turbo Jam and the Velcro has come off. I need some other weighted gloves to do some of cathes boxing/kickboxing workouts. I was considering the pink everlast boxing gloves. I don't know anything about boxing or boxing gloves. Do you need to wear wraps under the gloves or can you just put them on? I imagine they get sweaty and gross quick, how do you wash them?

I would eventually like to get a heavy bag too. Any good ones that don't cost a fortune and don't take up a ton of room?

Thanks!

I was in a Fitness Resource store a couple of months ago and I came across weighted gloves that are 2lbs each. I snatched them up right away since they were only $25 and they were exactly what I was looking for. They appear to be of GoFit.com brand but I tried to write a review for them online and they are not listed anywhere on the GoFit website. I contacted the company via email but never heard back from them. I haven't been able to find them anywhere else either. Anyway, I find the 2lbs to be perfect for all of Cathe's boxing/Kickbox routines. I love the added intensity! If I ever find my gloves again either in a store or online, I'll be sure to update this post.

I found 1 lb weights that have a velcro strap attatched. The weight sits in the palm of my hand w/ the velcro on the back of my hand. 1 lb seems terribly small but when worn for an entire kickbox workout.....HOLY COW! I think I got them at Marshalls/T J Max.

I also have pink boxing gloves for when I do bag work. However, for me personally, I feel wearing the small weights gets more upper body while doing the workout itself, THEN i change to the gloves for the bag. The gloves feel a bit awkward while doing cardio. Thats just me. I think I got the gloves from Dicks sporting goods.

If you don't have a bag yet, I would get weighted gloves for now. Then when you do get the bag, get the gloves.

I hope you can find a deal that offers the bag AND gloves!!! There's nothing like beating the snot out of that bag!

My husband and I use titleboxing.com for gloves and weighted gloves for boxing. Neither of us wrap our hands so the inside does get sweaty. When we are done, I just use a small towl with lysol sprayed on it and clean the inside. Then I put something in the glove to keep it open until it drys completely. We've had the same pair for a few years now.

I have Everlast weighted gloves which are very comfy.I use them in all my kb dvds.I got them at Academy.Eventhough they are men size, they fit snug enough.I do not like tight ones that are hard to take off.

Which ones did you get? I'm looking for new ones. I have the ones from Valor (I think that's the manufacturer) and they are ok but bruise my knuckles. Also don't give much wrist support, which I've found is a good idea for weighted gloves.
