Weight Workout

What is a good wt workout for someone who just finished the beginner rotation? I do alot of cardio, but not enought wts.

Wish I had an intelligent answer for you. Personally I love circuits. Lower weight, higher rep works well for me. What DVDs do you have?

Any of Cathe's weight work outs can be modified for a beginner so it really depends on what your goals are.

Are you looking to lose weight, build muscle, gain strength??

You also have to try out different things and see what works for you. Everyone is different.

Hi Roxie1965,

I think that Muscle Max is a great all-over workout that really hits every body part. It's challenging, but also has room for you to grow. It would be a great workout to do maybe twice a week to get your body used to doing more serious weight training.

If you have a little more money to spend or after you've played with Muscle Max for awhile, you might want to get the three Gym Styles DVD's. Each one works different body parts (a three-day split), and so you only do each workout one time a week. It's one of my favorite Cathe series, and I know that a lot of other people love them as well!

Cathe's circuit workouts are all really fun, but I've found that I don't get results with them like I do with the pure weight training workouts. Cathe herself has also mentioned that the circuit workouts aren't really pure weight-training either.

Hope this helps!:) I'm sure others will also give you some great ideas!

Thanks Leanne
I'm just hanging on to extra lbs. and someone suggested I might be doing to much cardio and not enought wts. This week I have been doing the Timesaver Blast Rotation. Its a little harder than I thought I will look into MM

Something else to think about if you're fairly new to lifting weights is Push Pull/Supersets. I started with Push Pull and I really like it.
