Hi everyone.
I was supposed to go to the orthopedic surgeon today about my ankle, but I rescheduled to next Wed. so I can go while Ewan's at nursery school. I'd just rather not have to take him with me. Sometimes he goes with me to my regular physician and he does o.k. but I figured for this appointment I'd probably be having an x-ray and I'd have to leave him in his stroller outside the room or something. Just a hassle. Plus I just feel lazy this week. I haven't even wanted to go shopping. I have worked out, though--not too lazy for that just to lazy to go out.
Yesterday I did the new 4DS Kickbox workout! It was really fun. I was actually whooping it up a few times and had to make myself be quiet so I wouldn't wake Ewan. I had to modify a bit for the ankle and I skipped one section on the weights (low plane lunges) because I thought it would be too much for the ankle, but it was still a great workout. I mainly have DOMS in the inner thighs and the abs today, which is great since those are my biggest problem areas.
Today is just a yoga or stretching workout day and tomorrow I'm going to give the new HIS workout a try, probably with extensive modifications.
Great workout, Belinda! I am still trying to convince DH to get us a gym membership soon.
Lori, wow, you finally got some decent sleep. Have fun running. I'm actually starting to envy you the running. I can't risk it with the ankle yet but I went through a running phase last fall and winter and I feel the urge again. We have a gorgeous wooded trail that starts i the park across the street from our house and goes along the side of a big hill overlooking the Hudson. This is the best time of year for it, too. I just wish it had public restrooms--I have a tiny little bladder. TMI?
Amelia, good luck with the new allergy meds! I have tried prescription meds for allergies before but they never worked out for me. If they were effective they ended up knocking me out. It got to the point I could hardly drive to work because I was so sleepy. I'm very susceptible to drowsiness with meds. So I gave them up. The allergies don't seem to be quite as constant as they used to be now, though.
OK, I'm going to drag myself out of the house and return some videos to the library. I might also stop by my favorite local shop and look at possible Christmas gifts for mom, step-mom and mom-in-law. (I find shopping for women easier than shopping for men.)
