Weight Watchers Check In- Friday 9/15

So anyway, I went to my meeting last night and was up 1 lb. Considering all the food I have been eating (some not so good, i.e. carrot cake) I am okay with that. I have also been really working hard to try and eat all my flexies and activity points (heck I earned 48 last week!). My leader has gotten used to me bouncing up and down like a rubber ball, as long as my bouncing is mostly down, I can dig it! Anyway, I tried to explain to her about trying to eat my APs and she asked my why. When I told her that I earned 48 this last week (my weeks run Friday to Thursday) she asked, "Why?!?!?" When I told her that that was what I liked to do in the way of exercise, I knew that I was speaking a different language! I don't mind, though! Last week, one girl made Lifetime after losing 40 lbs since February. Someone asked her if she exercised. She said that she jogs 1 mile 2 times a week and that the hardest thing for her was that when she started that, her losses stopped altogether for about 3 weeks, and she got so frustrated!
Now, I guess that I am just going for the accountability, because I am on a totally different planet then that of these people! I am living on the planet of Cathe!

Low Max went GREAT last night!!! Total sweatfest, and I didn't bonk like I usually do by combo #6! I actually had the energy to "bring it on" for all of #7!!! I think I will see if this trend continues before upping the risers to the full 8"!!! I always laugh when I do Low Max, because I use the warmup as the first combo and use a Leslie Sansone 1 mile walk for warm up. Anyway, I always think back to when Leslie was my main source of exercise and her 2 mile was my "intense" workout! :D

Anyway, Muscle Max is on the schedule tonight. I think that it will go better now that I have a 6' dynaband instead of struggling with the 4'.

Yes, I know I am nuts to be up this early (0500), but I just got back from grocery shopping. Nothing like having the whole store to yourself! I am heading to bed to sleep all day before work tonight.

Up 1# today...I'm cool w/ that- people always question why I workout everyday-feel like I live on anither planet most of the time....EXCEPTION: 5am isnt up early to me. DH and I rise and shine at 330am every day of our lives w/ no alarm clock! Just a body clock thing but you'd better not call my house after 830pm or 9 cuz we are sound asleep! lololol:D
AmyL Congrats on your LowMax and overall fitness gains! Its so great to hear how everyone looks at their successes in fitness beyond the scale!
Off to bay around noon today for weekend... Its a REST day YES CLAUDE! I worked out 2 & am taking 1 off! I know I can test this theory for 2 weeks! Saturday is 100 minutes of Kick/SSC and Sunday is Lower Body & Abs: The Firm + Slim Series Firm it Up... I really enjoy both of these and because they are so different than Cathes type of working lower I am always so sore.
I'll be back in a bit to check up on all the posts...
BTW: KERN: Great news you shared about your friends! I heard about the shooting on my morning news yesterday.....

Amy & Traci, Where I live hardly anybody works out. My boss goes to curves and does yoga once a week and I think that's great, but, frankly no one else up here works out. I moved from Miami two years ago, and everybody I knew worked out. So this has been a real culture shock for me. I think they all think I'm nuts up here.

Had my weigh in this morning. Up .4#. I think its because I've been eating too many sweets this week. Birthday here, bakery here. You get the picture. Although I did stay within my points, the quality of my eating has definitely been down. I'm committed to working on that this week.

I'm off today but I have a hair appt. this morning. Later I think I'll do GS C&T. I haven't done GS series in awhile. I also do some cardio. Not sure yet which.

I so agree that quality of points makes a huge difference! I have a girlfriend that is a lifer and she rejoined when I did a couple of years ago... When all was said and done we both lost 15 pounds but my body shape was much more firm and tone and I was down 3 sizes... she was still in her same size clothes although the scale wt was gone. I will never be convinced that quality of points doesnt matter... I'm glad you remided me of that!

Hi everyone -
Looks like we're all up this week - I was up .8# at WI this morning. I'm okay with it seeing as I haven't been able to exercise fullout for over a week. Slowly I feel like my back is getting better. Maybe by this time next week I'll be up to an Imax.

I was so in the mood for an Imax today but knew I couldn't, so I did some more lower body work. KM leg drills and PLB stability ball section again. I'm planning a good long power walk after lunch - for some reason walking doesn't bother my back. So I'll take advantage of it.

This weekend is our 18th anniversary so we'll be going out to dinner tonight. I'm planing on having a chocolate martini! I don't usually drink, but those are yummy and 18 years is a long time so I earned it!! Tomorrow night is the church's supper club so there will be more excessive eating there. It's catered by a local restaurant that does weddings and such and the food is so good and not healthy at all! Oh well - I'll just have to get right back on the band wagon on Sunday!

Corinne - I'm so glad your friends are ok. Bad eating is understandable in the face of that kind of stress. You'll get right back on track in no time.

Amy - I know what you mean about no one understanding about exercise. Before Cathe, I was a 30 min a day person. I liked working out, but I wasn't all excited about it. Now it's diferent. I WANT to workout. I NEED to workout. I got some $$ for my b-day - guess what I'm spending it on! Only the people here at Cathe.com understand what that's all about.

Buffy - I agree with you and Traci. Quality of points makes a huge difference. I definitely see it when I have an OP, but bad week. Enjoy your day off!

Thanks for your support everyone. And yes, it was stressful, but I really gotta learn not to overeat whenever I am stressed out. But one day at a time. One of my friends is having bad nightmares, so her parents are sending her to get some help. She's a strong girl and I am amazed on how she is dealing with it, and I really hope her nightmares go away.

I need motivation to exercise in the morning!!! If anyone has any tips on how to exercise in the morning, lemme know, I need it! lol

Work is going great, I love it! I'm just learning so much all at once that I am overwhelmed, and trying to balance school, seeing my BF and seeing friends, so I'm tired, lol.
