Weight Loss checkin 9-23-02

Steppingup

Cathlete
Calling all losers!!!! Well, I am happy to report that I have lost 2 pounds this past week which brings the total to 7 pounds this go around and a grand total of 28 pounds.

A terrible cold/flu thing is partially responsible because I have not had much of an appetite but I will take what I can get. I sure hope this continues without too many hangups. I have about 17 pounds to go before I am at 160, which is my goal. I would really like to weight 155 but I think I will be satisfied at 160. We'll see.

Can't wait to hear from all of you. Hope everyone had a great week!!!!

HHHHHHEEEEEEYYYYYY Kelly! :) :) :) :) :) :)

I am so glad to hear you lost last week! 2lbs~Woooo-Hoooo! :)

I'm with you on the 160lb thing. That's my current goal, to get to 160lbs, and then I'll re-evaluate where I'd like to go/end up.

Last week was a "no change" week for me, but it's cool, my eating slipped towards the weekend (yes folks, ice cream! :() and I'm days away from TTOTM. So, no change to report. Being bloated is a new concept for me. Who noticed bloating at 375lbs? But every month now I get a really "blah" feeling and my abdomen swells/puffs. So not fair! But the up side is that now I can actually "see" the bloating! :)

Anyway, better eating is on the agenda for me this week. I start a new rotation of endurance/circuit workouts, so I'm looking forward to my body hopefully responding in a positive way. :)
See you all next week :)

LAST EDITED ON Sep-23-02 AT 04:05PM (Est)[p]Kelly, I think I found your 2 lbs- I had a 2 lb gain which really stinks! My first gain since my baby was born 11 weeks ago. But I can't play innocent, I totally lost it last week and ate horribly. But I'm back on track now.

Donna, I hear you with the ice cream thing- I ate way too much of it myself. You are so close to your goal, I am amazed by your progress. Lets both get back on track this week!

Marci

Hello ladies, I lost two lbs this week to bring me to 227. Yay for me! That means I have lost a grand total of 40 lbs as of today!!! When I get to my 2nd short-term goal (225) I am gonna buy myself some CUTE exercise clothes.

My weight loss goal is 150 so I have 77 to go (boo!). But 40 lbs means I am no longer "morbidly obese", and I can sit in most lawn chairs without fear of breaking them (Yay!!).

I may have to give up the pudding cups though. I have had too many calories on a couple of occasions because of those things. They just call to me. So I might have to find something slightly less tempting to keep around, although ideally I can just muster the self-control to keep from scarfing them all!

KayM.....

Kay, I am so excited for you because I can "feel" every word you say when you talk about not being in the "morbidly obese" catagory anymore and fitting into chairs, lawnchairs especially! :)
I can remember standing at backyard BBQ's because I knew I couldn't fit in one of the chairs, and if I did manage to squeeze myself in it, will it stick to my butt when I try standing to get up? Or worse, will I break it in front of all these people? So I truly "feel" every word, and I am just so excited for you and I'm glad you joined our check in, we are all going to reach our goals, I have no doubt that you guys are going to be just what I need to get there! :) And we're always here for you to lean on as well.

Have a great week and keep up the good work! :)

Donna

p.s. Those pudding cups, are they the fat free jello pudding cups? If so, go easy on yourself. The worse damage you can do with those is 600 calories, and you'd have to eat all 6 in a pack! Besides, you have to have some "joys" in this journey to make it realistic and do-able! Total deprivation is never realistic, you'll only binge down the road, so have and enjoy your little pleasures along the way, it makes the journey more pleasant! :)
HUGE CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSS! :)

Marci......

Hey Marci,

You know, if ice cream had never been invented, I'd be doing way better right now! :)
And I'm so picky about my eating. I NEVER, EVER splurge/binge on stuff like cake, chips, cookies, pizza, etc., just ice cream!? My daughter had a pizza the other day, smelled great, looked great, but I never even asked for a bite! Made hubby some oatmeal choc chip cookies (okay, I ate 2 while they were hot, but who can't resist hot cookies fresh out the oven? :)), but the other 34 cookies were safe, I never went back for another, didn't even think about them. But ice cream, it calls to me! If there's none in the house, I'll go get it! How obsessive is this? I made need hypnosis! :)

But don't fret about the 2lbs. You ate, you weighed in, now this week is a fresh new week. A new week to lose and eat right. :)
I'll send some "positive vibes" your way, and you send some mine! :)
Better luck for both of us next week!

Donna

RE: KayM.....

You know, Donna, I think people who have been really been "big" have the most realistic expectations of their weight loss of all people. I mean, we rejoice in just being more "normal" sized instead of living in a world made for smaller people. I'm so enjoying just being able to climb stairs, walk around with my husband at garage sales without huffing and puffing, and feeling so good when I exercise!

You know, technically since you lost 4 lbs last week you were due for a bad week. Life averages things out for you. ;-) We would all be too jealous if you kept that 4lbs thing up.

Oh by the way - FAT FREE pudding cups? Yeah right! I go with the normal ones, the fat-free ones have a weird aftertaste. I managed to reign myself in a bit so I only ate about 250 calories extra, guess that's not too bad but I can't do it every day!

Can you tell work is a bit boring today? I've checked the boards wayyy too many times!

RE: Marci......

My girlfriend asked me to do a Body For Life Challenge with her, and I got on the scale today and I lost 2 lbs.!!!! I was very happy. I haven't weighed in a few weeks. I try and try, and lose nothing, I don't try, and drop 2 lbs.!!! I have been eating pretty clean. I am going to do a round of S&H, then move to PS/MIS, and the last month do CTX and PH weights. If I do this and complete it, I bet I will look good!!!!
Congrats to everyone who lost this week, great job!!!!!

I weighed myself for the first time in 6 weeks (my scale was packed away for 6 weeks because I moved) and I've lost 12 pounds since 6 weeks ago!

Kay, have you tried Dannon's Light Fit & Creamy yogart? It's very good and only about 100 calories. It's the first yogart I've ever been able to eat. It tastes almost like pudding.

Good for you Jennifer Ann! Boy that feels great doesn't it?

To answer your question, I haven't tried Dannon's creamy yog but I will definitely give it a try, it sounds good. Maybe I can replace my pudding addiction with that. :) Thanks for the tip,
