Weight loss checkin 3/24/03

Hello fellow losers!

Yes you read right...I am among the losers this week. I actually lost six pounds. And no, I was not starving myself. I ate very well, just better choices and less of the better choices (and cut out the mindless snacking). I was a little more active even though my exercise is not back to what it was last Fall. This is also TTOTM so hopefully after that I can get rid of another pound or two. I'm thrilled by this good start but know that it will definitely get slow now.

Anyway, was anxious to share the news! Next???

p.s. I'll check back in tomorrow, I forgot about the measuring thing until just an hour ago and I'm not measuring NOTHING after already having breakfast, snack and lunch already! A 1/4inch is a 1/4inch in my book, so I'll measure first thing in the morning. See ya then.

Kelly, that is incredible!! Congratulations!!

Me.. well I gained 3 lbs (last weigh-in was 2 weeks ago). I'm hoping its muscle/water weight .. mumble..mumble. I did take my measurements and am down an inch on my bust and hip; down 1/2 inch from my thighs (since mid February) :)

I didn't think so! Then really I have nothing to report, almost, but not quite, I'd really be pushing it to post a loss considering I almost cut off my oxygen supply getting my waist measurement!x(

But there is always this week!;-)

Here I am!

Hi! Happy to report a 1 pound loss this week, and with only 3 days of cardio! Better yet, I was able to do 30 minutes at Level 6 on my LifeCycle recumbent for the first time!

Way to go Kelly!

Hey I'm looking for advice - I really want to get serious about abs, do you recommend Ab Hits or the new Intensity Series? And/or Pilates?

I maintained for another week, don't know what is wrong with me, I have all the good intentions, plan my meals, I just don't stick to the plan. My clothes are a little looser however, on Saturday I will re-measure mysel.

Hi guys! I am here. I got back from my vacation in Florida on Sunday, but unfortunately came back with a miserable cold. So, I ate really poorly at Disney World, used the gyms at the hotels minimally, and now am sick. So, I have not had the heart to do a weigh-in. I think it's going to be bad.

In any case, it sounds like everyone had an OK week and the comment about the tape measure popping is funny.

I'll check in next week.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this weight loss check in, (or any kind of check in for that matter)and I would love to take part in it! I saw a post that someone put about wanting to be involved in the weight loss checkin, and I thought it sounded like a great idea, so here I am.
I have about 20 lbs to lose, and having recently discovered Cathe a few months ago (a godsend that blew me away into happy exercise land) I'm hoping she will help me to succeed with my goals! My biggest trouble with losing weight is my eating habits. This week I have been doing well, I tried to cut back on the amount I was eating, and cut out the junkfood, and replace it with fruits and veggies. I'm also allowing myself one Mountain Dew per day, (my FAVORITE drink ever) and the rest of what I drink is water. What happens with me is I will do well for awhile, and then I slowly go back to my old eating habits. Sometimes when I'm stressed I'll semi-binge, and it's TERRIBLE! I just wish I could find the motivation to continue eating healthy and have more control over myself. So those are my goals, I guess, to permanently improve my eating habits, and stop with the binges.
