Weight loss check in

Anyone up for this? The pun was intended :).

I am way up in the scale numbers and fat department so since I got back on Sunday have started using a food journal again. It is sooooo good to get back to my tapes again too.

We visited my husbands parents last night and after I told her that I had gained 5# on the trip she looked at me and said she thought it looked like I had gained more than that! I love her anyway, but that was a low blow! True, but low.

I have the right mind set right now (after that Mother-in-law comment especially!)and could probably do this on my own, but I thought maybe some accountability would be good too.

How about it Kelly? You have been doing great I hear. I haven't read all the post since I was gone but I did hear that you have lost 13# since the beginning of the new year. Way to go!

Anybody else out there interested?

Hi Susan!

Wasn't this your lil' guy? http://www.plaudersmilies.de/sad/nixweiss.gif

I think that was the one you used. If so, here is the link for it:

I left a space between the colon and the slashes just so it wouldn't appear. Don't leave that space when you type it in. Hope this is the right one!!

RE: Hi Susan!

Thanks so much Debbie :D That one is very close...but no cigar. My little guy lifts weights...shrugs I did this morning with Cathe in PS BBA....remember where she says 'I don't know' :).

I finaly found it. We had someone living at our place while we were away and he cleaned up stuff on our computer so when I went to where I had copied how to do the little guy....there it was.....gone! But with a little looking around I found him again!

You are always so kind and helpful :).

I'll do a weight loss check in. What data did you have in mind? Full food records? Weekly weigh-in? What?

I love French Vanilla Cafe coffee...but my husband's grandmother can't resist telling me that I gain 5 pounds with each cup! Gotta love helpful in-laws!

Katie

Hello Susan! Very glad you are back. My grandmother is always quick to tell me when I have gained weight. I do love her but she does know how to cut me deep.

I gained 5 pounds over the holidays. Of my initial weight loss of 42 pounds I had gained about 15 + back because of thyroid problems. Or at least that is what I'm telling myself. It was so out of whack that I had to force myself to get out of bed. I was wiped out all the time and my exercise suffered. This all started around the summer of last year. I have now finally got that straightened out and am feeling like my old self. Since the first of the year I have lost 15 pounds but seemed to have stalled at this weight for now. I really feel like I need to lose about 10 or 15 more and that should do it. Sometimes the maintaining is harder than the losing unfortunately.

I'm doing a diet where I eat 45% carbs, 25% fat, and 20% protein. It has been working well. I did splurge minorly over this past weekend but it really wasn't that bad. I really want those numbers to start going down again.

Soooooo, I am happy to join the weight loss checkin again and get some motivation. Thanks Susan!!!!!!

If you don't mind, I'd like to join in as well. I think if I have to report once a week it'll keep me motivated and on track. Right now I have a tendancy (sp?) to say " Oh well I'll do better next week".

I put on 5-10 lbs just before Christmas and have been battling to remove it plus another 10 that I don't really want but it doesn't want to say goodbye. This may be just what I need. Thanks

Me too, me too!!!

<waving hand frantically>

Yes, I would like to join all of you!!! I need some accountability as well. For some reason, I've been having a difficult time over the last two years keeping my diet clean. Uggg....you know what the results are!!! So, anyway, count me in!! Thanks!

Hollie

RE: Me too, me too!!!

I would love to join also!!!! Just let us know exactly what to do!!!! This will help me alot. I have been really slipping up lately.

Hi all! Welcome to Katie, Paulette, Hollie and Lori and Hi again to Kelly :).

I think just checking in one day a week (Mondays?) is good. Anyone can start the ball rolling and we'll just go from there and encourage each other in our quest to lose a little 'extra baggage'.

I was thinking maybe I could do this on my own! Not on your Nelly....you should see the chocolate things I had to write down in my journal :-wow.

This is going to be a good thing! (Martha Stewart) :D.

Susan http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/sprite10.gif[/img] or maybe for a while I should change to [im g]http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/sm_hi104.gif[/img]

Sign me up too. Although I just ordered S&H series and I plan to focus the next entire month on strength building and getting enough protein, sleep, water, etc. So weightloss isn't my main priority right now, although I do need to lose 12 lbs or so. But it would definitely help me to do a check-in since I need to be eating as clean as possible.
Thanks for starting this Susan.

Count me in too. I seem to be needing a little encouragement to keep up weight loss. Have the flu right now and its been six days since I last exercised. Takes all my strength just to get out of bed.

I am ready!!!!! Are we going to weigh in??? I know we don't want to report our weight, but are we going to say if we gained or lost??? Or, are we just concentrating on healthy eating????

I feel like you should share whatever info you are comfortable with. If you want to share your particular weight then that is fine but if you do not feel comfortable with that that's okay. You can share what you are eating, how much lost or gained and how your exercise program is going. This checkin is for the individual and how they can use it to motivate themselves to make some healthy changes in their life.

I like what you said in your last sentence, Kelly. ((((This checkin is for the individual and how they can use it to motivate themselves to make some healthy changes in their life.))))

I had to write down chocolate in my journal again yesterday!!!! I must try to cut down to a 'treat' day only once a week.
