Weight loss check-in

Steppingup

Cathlete
Hello again!!!! Sorry, I'm a little late with the checkin. It's been hectic this week. How is everyone doing? I have eaten well and exercised as much as time would allow. I am going to wait a couple of weeks before I weigh but I can tell my cloths are a little snug still. My jogging is going well and I am almost up to a mile. Yeaaaa! I am enjoying it and it is definitely a new challenge which I think I was needing. I still love my videos though.

Well, how is everyone else doing? Hope you have had a great week!!!

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Great job with the running!
My eating and workouts are going good as well...the scale is still being stubborn about moving in the downward direction, but I will perservere!!!

Hi Ladies...a little late myself this week...here tis Friday...

Been a busy week but I have managed to work some shorter workouts in...just a couple muscle groups in the morning lifting and then at night sit on the recumbant bike for about 20 minutes and unwind.

The nice thing about being busy is I don't sit around and think about food...so I lost 2#...

Next week will be moving to our new old house in town...haven't been a "townie" in over 35 years so this will be an adventure.

Have a good weekend girls...

Kathleen

Good for you Kathleen on the 2 lb. loss!!! I am jealous but happy for you:).
I can't believe how the scale here is REFUSING to budge!!! I suppose this is a plateau and if I stick with my healthy eating I'll break thru it eventually. I'm trying not to be discouraged. Also thinking of trying some tweaking, i.e. upping my calories a little. That's a scary thought but it might help.
Deb

Hey Kathleen, great going with the 2 pounds. It does make it easier in some ways when you are so busy you don't think about food. I have to be PRETTY BUSY to not think about food. LOL! Good luck with your move. We will be doing that in about a year and I know I will be busier than I care to be but I'm still looking forward to it. I will have my very own designated workout room. Yea for me! Anyway, keep up the great work!!!

Deb, plateaus are just awful. You think you are doing great but nothing happens. Maybe you could change your workouts?? or have you done that already. That is why I started running so maybe that shock my body a little and is has but not in the weight loss department. I am scared to weigh because I can even tell in the mirror that I am heavier...now that is scary. Stay at it and you will eventually see those pounds coming off again!!!!

Hi gals!
I have lost about 2 pounds, and am happy about that. I have not been doing as much exercising as I would like. I get out and walk 5-6 days/week, but would like to do the weight lifting. Our basememt flooded this spring and so everything downstairs is still in turmoil. However I plan to clear out a small area this weekend so that I can start on Cathe's PS series. Will post on Sunday my weekly plan for losing weight to keep me motivated. I have two weddings in September and would like to feel good;-) Chat again later...Have a GREAT day!

Hi Ladies!

I just got back from vacation last night. We went camping with friends for 4 nights, then visited my parents & grandparents for a week and a half. I had intentions of running but did not do anything but play with my kids on the beach and indulge. It was fabulous.

The good news is, I don't think I gained any weight!

My running program resumes tomorrow morning (ouch!). I look forward to it with various thoughts. Then, I tackle Cathe's Slow & Heavy (OUCH!).

By the way, when is your usual check-in date for the week? I work from home on the computer and can't always log into this site due to time restraints. I would, however, really like to check in with my fellow weight watchers at the appropriate time.

Thank you and best wishes to all!

Sandra

Sandra, I usually start the checkin every Monday but anyone else can start it anytime they want. You don't have to wait on me!!! Anytime you can find the time to check in is fine with us. How much running do you do? Please forgive me if you have said before. My memory is not what it use to be before having a child in my life!! Cathe's Slow and Heavy is wonderful and I just finished a three-week rotation of it. I did Power Hour this past week and it just about killed me. I did it Tuesday and here it is Saturday and my muscles have just gotten over the soreness. Great workout! Have a great day!

Tracey,

Great job on the weight loss. Weddings can be great motivation. Keep up the great work because it's obviously working. Good luck on getting the basement straight!

Hi Kelly

I usually run 3x per week with my friend at 6:30 am. We run 7.2 km (about 4.3 miles) each time. I was training for a 1/2 marathon this past spring but had to cut back my distance due to knee pain. Four miles seems about the limit for my knee even now. I am going to start doing more of Cathe's step workouts in addition to the running to try to give my metabolism a kick start.

I am looking forward to starting the Slow & Heavy series and am going to order Power Hour & CTX series as well (soon, I hope!).

Take care!

Sandra

RE: my goals

As I promised myself...here are my goals for this week:

Walk/Jog 30-60 minutes Mon-Fri
Do FIRM Time Crunch video twice

I haven't done my Cathe videos for awhile and thought I should ease back into them so I don't get hurt. I would like to keep track of what I eat, but I find this practice to be awfully mundane. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Have a great week!

RE: my goals

Tracey, I find it kind of tedious also. Dietwatch.com is a website I used at the first of the year that helped me keep a record of everything. If you come up with something that makes it more interesting or easier please share with us!!!!

Have a great day!

Kelly
