I just bought a 100lb. barbell set. (It was the same price as a bar and a few weights, so I got this set.) My heaviest dumbells right now are 10lbs. I am thinking I need to purchase a set of 15lb. and 20lb. dumbells eventually. But was wondering if I should instead purchase dumbell bars and use the extra weights from my barbell set on them. What do you think? Would the dumbell bars and weights be too bulky to do my Cathe workouts with?
I don't really like this barbell set. I can live with it, but we have the bar screws tightened as far as they will go and still the bar ends droop slightly. x( (The bar is in three pieces, not a solid bar.) I'd return it for a better set, if I knew of one. So if you have mail order suggestions with reasonable shipping on that, I'd take them too.
