Hey guys!

I'm back into a cathe routine - this summer I did more running and my own weight rotation.

Here it is

M - S&H Legs and Shoulders
T - kick box
W - rest
T - Lean legs
F - S&H Chest and Back
S - run 4 miles
S - S&H bicep-tricep
(may get in some cardio later today)

It's great to be back!

Welcome back Robyn!

My week didn't have a lot in it. Don't really know why except that Wed. and Thu. made me REALLY sore.

Sun. 30 min. run

Mon. Travel home from Tucson

Tue. BodyMax. My first child started school this day!

Wed. Powerstrike #2 (Smokes! This made my upper body soooo sore!)

Thu. S&H Legs using a 4-4 count instead of a 6-2. I had to lower my weight on the lunges and I was shaking big time on the plies. VERY TOUGH! This was also my 4th wedding anniversary! Went out to dinner and then shooting. Not too romantic, but with kids and living where I'm lucky there is a restaurant it was fun!

Fri. nothing

Sat. nothing

I got some cycling shorts and am just waiting for it to cool off a little to try 'em out! DH got me a gift certificate to Sports Authority and that is what I got with it :)

Hey everyone!!! Well, this has been an "interesting" week for me. I did not do any cardio at all, just weights. My week wasn't the best but not the worst.

MONDAY: Did a few crunches
10 minute stretch

TUESDAY: Legs--gym
15 minute stretch----more on this later

WEDNESDAY: BFRD

THURSDAY: Chest, back, shoulders--gym
15 minute stretch

FRIDAY: Biceps, triceps--gym
15 minute stretch

SATURDAY: BFRD

Okay, on Tuesday when I was stretching something not so great happened. I was sitting on the floor, legs apart and leaning forward. I am not naturally flexible so I have really been working hard on this for the past several months. So I was feeling very warm and flexible Tuesday and thought, "I can touch my nose to the floor". So I tried. Just as I did I heard this loud pop and then a grinding noise as I sat back up. I thought I had ruined myself. I could not figure out what had happened because I did not feel any pain. I moved my leg around and it was just a bit twingy but nothing else. As the day progress it ached in my hip joint and down my leg a little. I told myself I would go to the doctor the next day if it was worse or not any better. The next day it was better but just a little sore. It is still a bit sore but much better. I have continued stretching and can do all the stretches except the one where I heard the pop and when I attempt that stretch I feel some discomfort. Soooooo, I only do the stretches that feel comfortable. I see my chiropractor next week so I will definitely mention this to him. All I can figure is I forced the hip out of joint and as I sat back up it went back into place. I guess it didn't complete go out of the joint or it wouldn't have slipped back in so easily. It scared the stuffins out of me. I haven't done any cardio this week so I wouldn't aggravate anything. Every day it seems to be some better. That is really discouraging because if I cannot progress any further with my stretching because of my joints then that means I am where I am. Oh well, it's not every day you hear such an awful noise coming from your body where something wasn't broken or torn! Interesting!!!!!!!

Well, I'll be back to read more!!!!!

I did a few new videos this week and liked them both. I've also recently decided to give the yoga thing a try. I bought Kathy Smith's New Yoga Challenge today and previewed it. It seems pretty good for a nice stretch maybe the day after a Cathe strength tape when I cant move.

Monday...Interval Max + abs

Tuesday...Step&Interval cardio + CTX Upper Body Split

Wednesday...Recumbent bike + KV's GWW floor work only + abs

Thursday...Rest day

Friday...Christi's Strength Balance & Flexibility (really liked this one)

Saturday...CIA's Strike Zone + Boot Camp (I really enjoyed the Boot Camp section...fried my hamstrings and also contains alot of Pilates based stuff)

Sunday...MIS upper body only

Have a good week!

The triathlon was today! I was able to do it fairly comfortably, which was my main goal. :-cool I turned in a very good run time (for me) and did it with 4 minute run/1 minute walk intervals. I didn't train for the run this past month. Needless to say, I am icing both calves tonight!

SUNDAY: brick -- bike 1:10, walk/run :20
MONDAY: off
TUESDAY: swim :30
WEDNESDAY: 3 miles hiking with kids
THURSDAY: short hikes with kids, Back Care Yoga
FRIDAY: 2 miles hiking
SATURDAY: Millennium Stretch
SUNDAY: swim 500 yd, bike 15 mi, run/walk 3 mi.

I'm looking forward getting back to Cathe and lifting.

Hi gang!! Well, I've been redoing my kitchen all week -- wallpapering, wallpapering, wallpapering...oh, and painting! So, I've not done a thing exercise-wise. When I've got a big project, I can't seem to do anything but THAT project. :) Have a great week everyone!!

Congratulations, Gretchen! What an accomplishment for you! If I knew how to swim or ride a bike, and if running didn't kill my knees, I'd think about doing a triathlon, too ;-)
Here's my week (short workouts all week, because I'm having to switch to morning workouts due to a different work schedule. I still haven't quite figured out what time to get up!):

MONDAY: rest

TUESDAY: Still Steppin' I

WEDNESDAY: PH upper body
Bmax abs
MIS stretch

THURSDAY: Still Steppin' II

FRIDAY: PS legs (standing and floor)
All Out Strength abs and stretch

SATURDAY: unplanned rest

SUNDAY: Still Jumpin' I
PS shoulders and tris

Not the best week, but I think this week I'll get the hang of when to get out of bed!
Have a fun week, everyone.
Wendy

Congratulations Gretchen!

A milestone, isn't it?

Congratulations on your accomplishment. Scott Cole as a pre-event session is brilliant. I tend to think of him after I'm tired &/or sore.

Bet you're glowing!

Debra

Yay Gretchen!

Great job :) I was hoping for lots more detail. If you feel the need to share, by all means, do so!
