Weekend to End Breast Cancer

Hey everyone.

My sister is participating in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Toronto on the weekend of September 9 & 10. It's basically a 60 km walk over two days to raise money for breast cancer research.

Frito Lay has pledged to donate $1 for everyone who signs on their website. There's no obligation and they won't send you anything, you just have to click on the link, enter your name and e-mail address and they'll donate $1.

I know many of us have been touched by this awful disease, so please take a minute to add your name. Thanks.

Hey Shelly, it's done. Donating to any type of cancer research cause has the potential to help people with various forms of cancer as some of the drugs developed for a particular type have been found to help fight other types. For that reason, as long as the charity is reputable I never pass up an opportunity to donate what I can. Good luck to your sister with her 60K this weekend.

She's doing great, thanks, Michele! She's doing her longest training walk this coming weekend, two consecutive days of around 20 km. I'll pass on your message:)

Hi Adri... Oh, I'm not walking. My sister is. She's a breast cancer survivor. She works for Xerox and they have a huge team walking.:)

Shelly - thanks! Does she have a personal website where she's taking donations? I'm like the others - always willing to donate time and/or money to a worthy cause, and this is about as worthy as they get. Good luck to her. Sounds like a great time with the large group! Good for them!

Oh...Sorry I got that wrong. Well I wish her luck than. I'm happy she's a cancer survivor. Its such a bad disease.

Take Care:)

Done Shelley:) Nice that Frito Lay made it so easy for us. Lord knows I would have eaten a bag of chips for the cause but your option was more user friendly. Godspeed to your sister and her team:)

Take Care
Laurie

Thanks Shelley! As someone who has lost a brother to cancer, this is a GOOD cause! Also, is your sis the second gal from the right? I am thinking she looks MOST like you! :7 Tell her Good Luck with her walk and best wishes as a cancer survivor!

Shelley - I made a small donation - so if your sister is wondering how the donation from California got there, feel free to tell her! :+

You got it Shelley !

Since I used my work email, will they have the link so I can forward to my coworkers?

(We lost two of our best buddies to cancer last year - one has an ex wife who went through her first treatment while he was at the very end of his days).

OK - back to happier pastures.

Thanks for passing this on Shelley ;)
