Weekend Check-in, Saturday-Sunday, February 3&4, 2017

Ok, I'm back, wanted to get the thread started. Hope everyone is good, finished cleaning & laundry. Yay,
Didn't feel like going to the store today, and I switched things up today, instead of Kelly, I did the latest
CatheLive, "Low Impact Bootcamp", like Peg, I really liked it:). Hopefully tomorrow l will do Kelly,maybe the
YouTube CoffeyFit Raw, Lower Body & Kettlebells, it's about 25 min. My 3 dvds that I ordered from Mary are
Supposed to arrive today. They were 3 more of Kelly's. Trim Down, Plateau Buster and Cardio Blast.

Will hopefully check in again later!

QOTD: are you going to watch the SuperBowl Tomorrow? I am not a football fan, I will probably have it on,
Maybe watch some Of the commercials and halftime show.
 
So I took my ex husband home from the hospital yesterday and went to his house and checked on his groceries, and he needed some things, so I went to the store. When I got back I started to clean up the kitchen and I went upstairs to clean the bathrooms because I figured he is too sick to do it, and my daughter's bathroom and bedroom were beyond horrible. I couldn't believe it. I started making piles, and doing laundry and trying to organize it all a bit, but I don't think their dryer is working very well, and they probably need a new one. I came home and told my husband about my day and he was very upset. He thinks I'm acting out of guilt and that I'm getting sucked into a situation that isn't my problem. I just felt so awful about my baby girl living that way and I wanted to make it nice for her. But I know if I were to clean everything up and nothing else changed, it would just go back to the way it was. My daughter blames me for the family splitting up so he wasn't even going to tell her that I was the one that cleaned the bathrooms and all. I'm a little heartbroken over the situation.

Anyway, no workout yesterday but I certainly burned enough calories doing the housework. Today we went to my husband's grandson's basketball game and over to his son's house to help out with the kids a little bit and we're going to dinner with my parents tonight.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with fitness.
 
Missy, that is a tough situation to be in, praying for guidance and for your husband's and daughter's understanding.

Today I went and got a perm. After sitting in the salon chair for over 3 hours my back hurt some when I finally got up.

So no workout for me.

Hi everyone. Missy I’m sorry your husband doesn’t feel the same as you. I probably would have done the same thing as you. Just to help out. Hopefully your daughter will appreciate it. How old is she? I’m sorry for your troubles. You’re not alone. We all have our burdens big and small. Then we react in the best way we can.

Today I did Xtrain Legs. My lower half was shaking! Then my husband and I took out our washing machine, down the stairs, out the door and down more stairs. THEN....we moved the new one from the driveway, up the front porch stairs, into the house, up the stairs....GOOD GRIEF!!

Linda I’m glad you enjoyed the latest Live. I thought it was great. No Walmart today but we did go to Sams club. That was a big bill!!!

Yes! We are watching the Super Bowl.
 
My daughter is 21.

We are watching the super bowl with my parents. We always have chili. I don't even know who is playing. Nor do I care :)

Missy - don't worry about your post not being fitness related, we are all fitness friends in this group and this is the kind of stuff you can share with your friends. I hope your husband won't give you a hard time about it. I think many of us would have done the same especially if our kid is living there. I hope your relationship with your daughter improves.

I will not be watching Super Bowl. It's in the middle of the night over here. My ex husband played football, so he would always take a day off in order to stay up and watch it.

Saturday morning when Mick wouldn't nap, I used my magic Kitchenaid to put him to sleep and make some chocolate chocolate chip muffins. I then did Xtrain Supercuts, but skipped the last sit up/push up section. Earlier in the workout I was able to do the core tap outs, so when the kick outs came I figured I could do them as well, but my pelvic area hurt so bad trying to do them that I quickly modified. I wonder if this is still due to the changes during pregnancy.

We were gone the rest of Saturday. Magnus had a game 50km away and this time Mick did not sleep through it. Fortunately there was an empty court next to the game so I could walk back and forth there with the stroller until Mick finally gave up and fell asleep. He's getting more curious about his surroundings so a walk outside for instance is no longer a guarantee that he will go to sleep.

At night we did a make your own sushi for dinner. So the cooked sushi rice, seaweed, tuna, salmon, crab sticks, cucumber and avocado was all cut up and ready and then we all go to work rolling and eating. Yum! I love sushi, but it's a lot of work if it is just my bf and I preparing it for everyone so this was a nice alternative. I think we need some more sushi molds before we do it again. We only have 1 and using the mold I can get them close to perfect, but rolling by hand they do not turn out very pretty, but they are always tasty.

I have been suffering from a headache for over 2 weeks now. During my pregnancy I had very few headaches which was a relief after years of nearly daily headaches, but now it is back. At first I thought it was due to my period, but that doesn't last for 2 weeks. My bf thinks it's pure tension related, due to the fact that I start work again tomorrow and Mick starts at the daycare. No matter what the cause is... it's draining. Broken nights and a constant headache, no matter if I rest or workout... ugh. Today, Sunday morning my body is sore from this past week and besides more laundry to make sure I am on top of it before the week starts I am not sure how much I will do today. I haven't had a rest day this week, but I also know I may not fit a workout in every day in my first week back at work, so maybe I should do something... hmmm.

Good morning girls...just finished CoffeyFit Raw Lower Body & Kettlebells on YouTube....Loved it!!! Only 25 min
But a great lower body with Kettlebells thrown in. She does a short plyo section, but the moves were very easy to
Modify if you need to (like me:) ). I will visit that one often I think. There is a Raw upper body workout on there
As well, will try that one at a later date. Got my DVDs yesterday, spent last night, previewing, writing info out, and
Then this AM I typed everything out... I am gonna try and stick with a rotation of Cathe, Kelly, and "something else" meaning some other DVD, machine workout, rebounder, ramp, just something different every 3 workouts
So I don't get burnt out on one particular instructor and/or workout style. Will see how that goes!
Might do a Firm cardio & sculpt workout this evening, it's a shortie, 20 min or at least it is next on my agenda.

I've been MIA due to my DH being away on business. I did not workout except for friday and today. today i did a cathe live - her latest offering.

Missy - tough situation. I would probably try to tidy as well. She's 21 yrs old and will just have to figure things out. I was pretty messy at 21 yrs old. whoa. It's easy to feel torn. you are a good person helping out your former husband.

henriette -sorry about the headaches. that's a drag.

I do not watch football at all. i didn't even know the superbowl was on! today, at some point? not now right?

Hello again. Missy, I would have done the exact thing as you did. I hope your situation will turn out for the best.

Henriette, I hope your headaches stop, I hate headaches! It could be stress related.

After my Kelly workout this morning, I did a short Urban Rebounding workout mix, hadn't been on the rebounder
For awhile....I went to Food Lion and now I am getting ready to do the Firm cardio sculpt workout. They are
My "something else" so after that, Cathe will be next on the agenda.
 
Thanks guys. I actually was talking to a friend about it and she said that my ex might be able to get some home health care through his insurance plan, so I'm looking into that. Everybody thinks I need to butt out. And I would never put my marriage in trouble over my ex. He was horrible to me and probably deserves what he gets. My daughter is a different story. But she won't let me in. I think in time she will mellow, but she's not ready yet.

So I started to do BodyMax 2, and got some craps and had diarrhea. So I quit. Bummer. My son is running a 101 temperature and has a sore throat. Yuck.
 
Missy - I hope you and your son feel better soon.

Sunday ended up being a rest day... only a couple of long walks, so I got my steps and calorie burn in anyways. For the rest I was just getting ready to return to work, packing bags... picking an outfit that is not a hoodie and fitness pants and doing the groceries for most of the week.
