Well, my DVDs are at my local post office and it says delivery today :):):):)! We'll see, if I don't see
Out for delivery by noon, I am gonna see if I can go pick them up...but they should be with my
Mail guy later. That's gonna make my day, and all of yours too, so I won't be fussin' about it! :)
When do you expect yours Peg, since you are in NY? Yours should be comin' pretty quick.
I don't know about what forum admin said about priority mail in another thread...I have always
Heard that the PO gives Priority mail "priority" over 1st class., maybe it depends on the area,

Hi Everyone,

Today I did another workout blender mix of Fit Tower, PHA, S & S for lower body and shoulders. Very intense.

We had snow all day yesterday. In fact, it's been snowing here since a few days before Christmas. I just love the snow.

Today - seeing a friend for coffee and having friends over tonight. Tomorrow I am having my sister in for brunch and going to a new year's eve party at a high school friend's place - great family they are. lots of fun and have really great friends.

A Kelly premix off of Body Shop, all compound moves called Fast Track, Abt 20 min. Doing load of laundry as well
And if it warms a bit, must try to get to Wally World!

DVDs should be on his truck! Made it back from Walmart and did my workout earlier so I need to calm it down

Hi Ladies!

Linda - Thanks for getting us started once again. You mentioned KCM Strength & Stamina yesterday. That is another great KCM workout! It's been a while since I did KCM, but I don't think I can manage it anymore this year as there is only tomorrow left and I am beat!

Today I did Yvette Bachmann Kettlebell & Cardio... that 71min workout. Even modifying some of the kazillion jumping jacks ( not recommended 7 weeks postpartum!) I still burnt 655 calories! By the end of it, during the step drills my legs were burning and practically refusing to cooperate. I guess it wasn't the best choice of workouts after yesterday's Legs & Glutes, but with several mentioning it and it looking so good I had to try it. I don't regret it! It was great, but not a joke!

As an add on we went for another long walk... probably walked about 6km this afternoon, getting the last presents for tomorrow. That's the 4th day in a row that I have gone on that long a walk! My FitBit says I have been burning 2800-2960 calories per day this week! Now if only I would stop eating all those Christmas treats I would be losing weight much faster. Oh well, it's the holiday season and I am back to my weight from before I got pregnant... although that isn't my goal weight, but I hate the scales and just want to feel good in my skin and be strong, so I am not getting on the scales too often! For now I will enjoy my food and above all my precious baby and be proud that I can still rock some crazy workouts nearly daily.

Siobhan - your party plans sound like fun!

Annette - congrats on being so consistent with your weight loss!

In my Kelly collection. I hate scales too...I rarely weigh anymore.
 
He everyone. Good for you Annette! It’s always impressive to lose weight during a holiday when food is prevalent. Linda, my dvds seem to have passed me, gone north and now had to come back! The postal service makes NO sense sometimes. We’re going to Waldo’s today too. I’m dreading it. Siobhan it sounds like you have some lovely time planned for yourself. Have fun. Henriette.....Yvette is NO JOKE right?! I had to modify and take breaks and still burned 591 Calories! That’s really high for me. Also....don’t lose heart with your new dvds. Sometimes with Cathe it might take a time or 2 to “get” a workout. With 4 day Split- High intensity step....there’s a step section that I just don’t get and probably never will. I just make up my own thing. As for IMAX, take your time. Those are very challenging. I really hope you find some that you love because you certainly got a lot!

Today I did Supercuts from Xtrain. I forgot how much I liked that one.

Peg, don't even mention postal service to me right now, I have my dvds, but you would never believe what I went
Thru to get them. First, a new guy delivering today, and he didn't deliver them!!! I stopped him and he said I
Don't have it!! I called the post office and told them, but checked the tracking again and it said delivered!!!! I went
After him again and stopped him on the next street and told him and asked where he delivered them at. He didn't
Know, he was so rude and I was too, and I came back home, then I thought of another house on another street
With the same house # and away I went again. Luckily, a car was in the driveway and I knocked on the door and
Asked her if I could look in her mailbox, she said yes indeed, and Lo & behold, there was the package delivered
To wrong address!!!!! I thanked her, showed her the package and came home. The thing that pisses me off,

Oh Linda. I’m sorry that happened to you. I wonder what would’ve happened if you hadn’t chased him down OR the other house didn’t do anything and kept the dvds?! Did you call the post office? I might have. Think about important mail not getting to you, a bill, a package etc. Or sending something that never reaches its destination. That’s horrible! I sold a Coach purse on eBay once and mailed it the next day and I had the tracking number. The stupid purse crisscrossed the northeast for 25 friggin days!!!! I was really upset and felt bad for the buyer of the purse.

Apparently this mail person seriously doesn’t give a shit!! I’m glad you finally have your dvds though. I’m still waiting. With the holiday it will probably be Tuesday.

Well.....new Cathe workouts can make a person go a bit crazy. Right?! I see there’s a thread at videofitness that’s for reviews of the new workouts......
 
I've had a couple of bad experiences with USPS, so I know what you are talking about. I tend to like UPS and Fedex better because they deliver it to my door whereas USPS delivers it to the front office of the apartments. I heard UPS was so far behind this year that they had other employees who weren't drivers delivering packages. We got two packages on two separate nights around 9:30 pm! Freaks us out to have someone knock on the door that late. We were up. One time my son ordered a pizza at 10:30 pm and I was almost asleep and we jumped up wide awake. My son apologized for waking us up which was thoughtful.

Anyway, today I did 30 minutes of Amy Bentos Advanced Step Challenge. I'm learning it, but I can get my HR up well enough. She did that crazy step where it's like a fast foot shuffle, but she taps in a square, tapping 4 times and rotating into the step on each turn. It's called Crazy Shuffle. I didn't think I was ever going to get it, but I did! Now, I didn't do it at full speed like she does, but I was happy to have gotten the footwork. My husband kept saying 'BE CAREFUL' and "Are you ok?" After 30 minutes of that, I did C&W....I was strong on this one....I was up to a 6 inch step, and I lasted for the entire workout.

On Tuesday I have a job interview about 3 hours from here. I'm not super excited about that. I think moving away from my parents and my husband's family will be tough, but I will accept the job if they offer it. We might love it there. It's at a community college. I can't see turning down a job if it's offered, even if it requires relocating. It will be the first offer I've gotten in 4 years.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! It's going to be the best one yet!
 
Oh my, hope ya'all are staying warm!! It's so cold everywhere!! I will probably be back at my workouts on the 8th-9th when moving is over & done with (I hope!!). Will go head long with Fit Split (should have it by then I am thinking) & Pilates rotation. Woohoo! It might kill me as I have not been working out consistently for some weeks! lol.

Henriette, wow, it didn't take you long to get right back into the intense workouts! Impressed!! ; ) I think it's so adorable that your Mick likes snoozing outside ..... a little adventurer I think! Hope you have been enjoying his first Christmas. What a gift!! & Yes, be happy that you are rocking those workouts!! You're a rockstar new Mom!!

Ceci, way to stay consistent with your workouts .....I don't know how you fit it in with your social schedule! Sounds like your doggie got in trouble with the treats again this year eh? ; ) Is your daughter home from college?

Linda & Peg, oh, don't get me started on the post this year too!! I sent a Xmas package home to my family and paid for a guarantee delivery of the 23rd and they STILL do not have it. So tough being away from them every year and they didn't even get their gifts. I honestly think online shopping and Canada Post not adding enough work hours has made it pretty impossible for them to meet any of their deadlines. I'm so happy I sent the cards separately as at least they got those!! I notice a lot of 'crisscrossing' of items coming from the the USA as well. I wonder what is going on there? Hmmm. You two sure got a lot of cleaning done over the holidays, want to come here to clean up my mess?? LOL, just kidding!!

Missy Hiett, glad to see you back to your workouts! Your stepping is amazing!! : ) Oh, keeping my fingers crossed for you and this job at the CC. Sounds like a nice place to work with a pension etc. Go get 'em!!!!

Annette, hope your holiday travels went well and way to go with keeping the weight off. Hope your hubby got some nice time off. I lost some weight over the holidays as well although I think it's mostly muscle from not being in the fitness mode due to life/moving. Those pounds I need to get back on!! lol.

Glad you were able to track them down, as I am not sure about where you are, but here we do not get anything on Sunday or New Year's Day. (Well, most Saturdays we do not either, but you guys do).
 
Yes, Elsie, we get mail on Sat but not Sun or holidays....I thought I would be laughing about it this morning, but not so much....yet :)
If it had been my reg. mail guy, all would have been good, but this guy was "out here" I kept saying to him, you apparently just
delivered it, it just showed up "delivered" so where did you deliver a priority mail item? He just shook his head...I am glad I went
after it, because I doubt very seriously if or when I would have gotten it, due to the house it was delivered at, I hate to say that, but
it's a fact. It bothers me too because I sometimes get prescriptions by mail. Oh well, over with. The workouts are ok, I have just
scanned over them, and I think I will get a lot of use from them in the blender, but the dvds will probably sit. and as someone
posted over a VF, I hate the case. not sure why they went with that type of case.
 
Hi Everyone,

Today I did a short 30 minute Jari Love workout. Haven't done her in a long time. The day is already busy so had to cut workout short. I've been working out everyday day with no rests because i've been eating like crap (henriette - you seldom take a rest day am I correct?) I modify to light workouts when my body is sore or I switch to pilates, cardio etc.. to keep things fresh
Linda - sounds like you had an adventure with dvds - boy - you sure want those workouts lol. I once never receive a series - ICE I think. Within a couple of weeks Cathe sent me out a new set so it all worked out.
Elsie - did you just change homes or cities? cold weather to me moving. wow
Missy - Good luck to you. Working in a College environment would be nice but that's a bit sacrifice - moving for a job. People do it all the time but it doesn't make it any easier
Peg - SC is a fav of mine too

Hi, I joined Cathe OnDemand during the Black Friday special but I have been very sporadic with my workouts. I need to get buckled in after having a really decent workout year in 2017 which focused primarily on Cathe’s Ripped with HIIT series. I have to be careful with a lot of jumping and plyo moves because at 55, my hips can get a little sensitive. Also I started adding yoga into my workouts towards the end of the year which have been very beneficial, but I do not burn the same calories with yoga workouts so I picked up a few pounds. I need to find a way to get a good blend going with the limited time I have for working out. I work full time, my son and I are car pooling, me to work and him to college which makes for long days. I need to workout in the mornings.

Sorry for my ramble but I need to jump in here and get some accountability going and some direction. I feel out of shape now because I haven’t been working out consistently since November.

I need a plan laid out for me so that it can be a no-brainer for a while.

Looks like Fit Split won’t be up until the end of this week, any recommendations on a program that can help me get going again? Perhaps a nice blend of OnDemand, or Live workouts that aren’t too advanced, and that don’t require a lot of jumping. I can do some jumping, I can modify as needed. I can do push-ups from my knees, with two or three military style. I’m not a complete weakling but I’m pretty weak compare to some of Cathe’s workouts! [emoji13][emoji51][emoji23]

Siobhan - I know what you mean with eating crap and therefore working out daily. Sounds like me.

Elsie, Missy and Linda - speaking of Fit Split... I can't wait to get it, but postal services... my package seems to be in transit, which can literally take weeks! Last Cathe package got delivered to my door, even though the box clearly said to be picked up at the post office as taxes and custom duties still had to be paid. Weird! There was no way out of paying those duties and taxes so I had to go to the post office and explain, no the package is not there... despite a letter having been left for me that I had to go pay to pick it up, but I did want to pay.

Today my legs were sore. Big time!!! All that walking and Legs & Glutes on Friday followed by Yvette's long Kettlebell, cardio and step yesterday has worked my legs real hard. It's been a while since my legs were this sore! My shoulder is also sore, but not sure if it is from the kettlebell moves or from poor sleep. Last night I decided to have an early night and then I was up at 3 to feed Mick. He seems to have a biological clock requiring a bottle at 3 no matter what time his last bottle in the evening was. And then at 5 I had to go pick up Magnus when he returned from his tournament in Denmark. I was back in bed before 5.30, but at 7.15 Mick was ready for another bottle. What a night and on top of such a tough workout yesterday!

So today was a rest day... and I will probably do more harm than good. [emoji854]I have walked more than 10,000 steps, as nothing gets Mick napping like a walk... but I have also been making chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate cake for tonight. Yummy!

AtlantaJJ - are you familiar with the Cathlete's site: 2 lazy4gym? There are some great ideas for rotations there. I like to pick one, e.g. Upper/lower split, 1 TB and cardio in between and then decide ahead of time which workout to do per day depending on what kind of day it is. If on that day I am not in the mood to do the assigned workout then I can simply pick another that still fits that type of day. I was doing this at the start of 2017, using many different Cathe, KCM and Beachbody programs... but then during my pregnancy I kinda let go of the planning and just did what I felt like trying to make sure I got a good mix of strength and cardio. I will return to make some rotations like this for 2018... I like being organized and planning ahead, also makes me more accountable to myself. I have bought some binders and papers etc. so I plan to get creative with organizing my workout collection and reviews and rotation plans for 2018. I have no idea yet how much time I can manage when I return to work in February. I will really be juggling a lot then... and will have a lot of trouble to fit in daily workouts, but I sure will try.
