Weekend Check-in Saturday, March 15th & Sunday, March 16th, 2025

Good Saturday Morning Everyone,

I was able to squeeze in a workout today as I got most of my work done in between sessions last evening. I did a YT Tiff & Dan workout - jump rope and burpees for 30 minutes (that was enduring) and added on an 8 minute YT T&D plank challenge - I couldn't keep up holding my planks as long as Dan did but finished it.

Deanna - I admire your commitment to follow a rotation. My DH is like that - he can just follow the rules of a program (I'm a rebel).

Yay!! I did a workout on Saturday, Whoohoo!!

So I found another Aerobox workout from a different Spanish speaking gym and instructor. This time a female instructor, it was good and only 39 minutes long, but I did sweat. She was easy to follow despite being instructing in Spanish. I even picked up a word she said that was the word for 'kick', since through most of it there weren't any kicks.

I even got over 3000 steps in the workout.

Anyway, I did it and nothing was complicated.

Siobhan, you are in-between my brother and my husband birthday wise and you will all be 59 this year.

Ok, I did some research "aerobox" is the type of upbeat music needed for cardio kickboxing and cardio boxing workouts . So those mixes I labeled the Fitness Kombat workouts I did was probably the music mix (aerobox music) they used for that workout. There ya go.

I didn't get anything in today. Attended a wedding for one of my gym friend's son. It was beautiful!!
I'm going to try Functional Core and ICE Upper Body tomorrow. Supposed to get some nasty weather.

YT-Tiff & Dan workout - jump rope and burpees = 30 minutes- Confession here, I hate burpees and modify them
YT-T&D plank challenge = 8 Min WOW! Those are tough, bravo!:) I have a tough time holding those too! WTG & Bravo!!

Nicki- Its good you are giving your leg some needed healing time. Ooh it sounds like you have some good workouts on tap for tomorrow with Functional Core and ICE Upper Body. Those sound like great choices. Hopefully the weather will lighten up too! Take care and have a fun workout tomorrow;)

Well, I did end up doing this week's CatheLive- CORE-iffic- 33 min. on Saturday, It was express and I
wanted to try it. It was pretty good...I did have to modify some plank moves with discs to plank moves
without. I don't care for plank moves with the discs at all.

Good Sunday Morning Everyone,

Today I did more T&D - Just Dan again for total body weighted hiit for 37 minutes. I added on 5 minutes of T&D lower abs (I actually couldn't finish or endure the 30 minute segments - I love this guy!). Now, to do my own stretch.

Annette - you are a regular fitness detective finding new KB workouts! You once told me why you don't do other types of cardio workouts but I forget the reason
Nicki - a beautiful wedding is a good reason to miss your workout. I hope you get something in today

Hi Linda. I just finished posting my workout for today. Yeah you got in a workout! Ima gonna check that one out. I love challenging core workouts!
 
Hi Siobhan,

Well, I don't have a full step anymore and the mini step I have isn't great for step workouts plus I really can't do the moves anymore.

My coordination isn't great for regular aerobics, my hips don't move (technically I don't have any hips) for zumba or dance type workouts. And honestly, I burn more calories doing kickboxing workouts and they are the most modifiable workouts out there that I have found.

Hope that answers your question. Plus kickboxing is fun and powerful.
