Good Saturday Morning Everyone,

Today I am short on time as I am in the office early. I managed a 32 minute Phoenix Nation jump rope workout of jumping/abs. It was tough. Wow. Do I need a better mat under my feet for jumping or do you think really expensive running shoes is best, to ease the blow of the jump/pounding - even though I try to be light on my feet - like a croissant.

Nice workouts yesterday, Annette and Linda. Nora, sorry you couldn't get in a workout but tidying/doing things around the house also burns calories so it's great you were able to move. I once read that doing chores around the house e.g. cooking, cleaning etc burns about 400 calories a day!

Today I did an 10 minute Taebo I found on YouTube and 25 minutes of floorwork for abs, legs and glutes plus weight work using 8 pound dumbbells doing hammer curls, wrist curls, overhead triceps, front raise, shoulder shrugs and press, standing ab twist so not too bad for a Saturday.

You did do something so that is good, I would vote for a thicker mat . Do you use an actual jump rope? I am assuming so.

Today’s workouts were from YouTube - Anabolic Aliens:

5 min. Chest workout with tubing
5 min. Biceps workout with tubing
5 min. Shoulders workout with weight plate
5 min. Triceps workout with weight plate

just a quick 20 min. Total upper body workout.

Rest day tomorrow….enjoy!

Bravo on your choice of a great time efficient workout with:

YT- Phoneix Nation Jumping rope and abs, Winter has great workouts and she's no joke either. I have seen Phoneix Nation has mentioned or has links for the jump rope pad, and Ithink I've seen it mentioned also on Jump Rope Dudes as well.
You might check there for the links or further info on the round jump rope pad. I think they said the pad is made to be shock aborbing and easier on knees. I've been thinking about this too, probably be on my wish list. Right now I jump rope on carpet using ropeless jump rope.
I have low ceilings and furniture to deal with. Also I have to becareful of trippind with my MS balances isues. Have a great Satrurday/weekend:)

Annette- Great job with today's YT workouts with:

The only way I could do a lot of jumping is on a mini trampoline since it takes away the impact on my feet-I do Michael Olajide Jr”s workouts and there’s a lot of jumping-I use a rope less jump rope since I’d trip over an actual jump rope
 
Yep, another Ropeless jump rope user too! I keep it all low impact…learned the low impact moves from Julie Jones on YouTube…she has several Ropeless jump rope
workouts and usually always shows low impact as an alternative….I do rebounder workouts from time to time too, I like AngieFitness on YT as well for a couple of those.

I use a cross rope jump rope which I love. I have the standard one and the heavier one. I also have a cordless jump rope but truly prefer the cross rope jump rope. A mini trampoline makes a lot of sense with the cordless jump rope. I wish I had the room, not only for the mini trampoline but to store it when I am not using it. I work out in very small space in the basement so no storage. The joys of living in a big city! Little space but lots of amenities and wonderful neighbours (DH makes bread every weekend for our house and a few others on the block).

Today I did a mix of a Cathe Live for legs (42 minutes). I added on 21 minutes of MPL. Sweatfest!

Y'all got in a workout this weekend. Uhhhmazing!
 
My workout space is so small and my dogs like to lie in middle of floor!I keep a lot of stuff in basement and schlep it upstairs-since Cathe uses a lot of ecquipment ,at times I improvise-use weights rather then a barbell and use my Bosu or stability ball as a bench and since my step is so bulky ,I use my Firm Fanny lifter for step ups.I love Michael Olajide Aeropower-the light weights kill my arms in that-I no longer do boxing workouts since I herniated discs in my neck-first was doing fast punches in Tae Bo and the last time was doing Cathe Hardstrikes-now I just do the conditioning part on that-I also love Barlates as it slims my legs -heavier weights tend to bulk my lower body
 
Nice workout today Siobhan with a CatheLive for legs & MPL stretch. Ohh, you have a Crossrope jump rope….they recently came out with their version of the ropeless and I really would love to get it, little pricey tho’…..My ropeless jump ropes are less expensive ones from Amazon. Crossrope has some neat short jump rope workouts on YT too.

Seems like in order to get my abs back in shape I need to work them everyday, sigh. So I did 20 minutes of floorwork for abs, legs and glutes. I stretched earlier when my one leg was bothering me. Plus the exercises do help with my restless leg syndrome so all is good.

Nice workouts ladies and welcome to FlemingCol56, nice to have someone new checking in.

My abs are my stubborn,can’t tone for anything trouble spot -I’ve been trying kettlebell swings after my Elliptical workouts and try to add captains chair knee raises for abs as well as my Ab carver/those abs will not budge-I even made myself a vision board covered in Linda Hamilton photos to give me a boost!!
