Weekend Check-in, Sat-Sun, November 26-27, 2016

Ok, got in my workout early while doing laundry! I did a blender Step & Shoulders workout and 15+ min on my
Elliptical using Beatburn app (pre-loaded workout). I still have a twinge in my left side/back so I didn't get to
Crazy! My niece is visiting from NC so I hope to see them later.

Hi Linda,

I've already worked out too! I did Cathe Live Step Hiit - 15 minutes of the actual workout - no warm up. I added on PHAT 2 30 minutes - so thought I couldn't go on! I then added on 6 sets each of EDT cathe chest/triceps. All in all - 1 hour.

I have a busy day ahead so have to get into the office.

Great workout Linda. Have a great day everyone. I feel I am always responding here on the fly - I need to take more time to appreciate everyone's workout choices and efforts!

Great workouts all around so far.

Today is my dh's 50 birthday! Yay! He is finally joining me in the 50's.

Today I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit which is 54 minutes long. Nice workout since it has been awhile since I have done it.

Happy to see you all getting in some good workouts.

I didn't. [emoji19] I am taking a few days of rest where I will only do my stretches but no w/o's.

I got my 10000 steps in mainly re-organizing and cleaning the house. Even reorganizing all my w/o dvds. For the rest I was busy baking and then busy with my son's bday party. 7 of his friends came here for brownies and cookies, then we drove them to a bowling alley and then back home where we picked up pizzas and they watched a movie on the beamer. They had a blast and now it's after 21.00 and I am ready to relax. Finally... [emoji5]

Yesterday after having written in the Check in that I will wait with getting on Demand I caved in and bought loads of Cathe dvds in the sale. I may not be allowed to do them as soon as they arrive, but one day...

Henriette, glad that you are listening and resting. ;) You have something challenging to look forward to in new Cathe workouts! I love how enthusiastic and involved you are with your young son's activities. Sounds like a nice birthday party, indeed. Speaking of birthdays .....

Annette, married a younger man did you?! That'll keep you on your game.;) I kid!! Hope you two were able to find some good time together on his birthday weekend. I don't know how you work out on the weekend after your classes during the week. You go! Excellent workout as always. :)

Linda, great workout! Hope you can get some relief soon (acupuncture?) for your back. Sounds like it might be a compressed nerve from your disc(s) perhaps? How nice to have family visiting. :) Reminds me that it has been too long since I have seen my niece (and namesake).

Siobhan, wow, great workout .....all under an hour! Sounds like you are having a very busy week. Take good care! You are constantly taking care of everyone else. :)

The clips so far from Strong & Sweaty looks great don't they? Just different enough from other series, I think. Fresh and tough!!

Today I did Cathe Live Hiit with weights mish mosh or something. It was before ICE. It was really fun and flew by. I added on someone's ICE leg workout with no blasts but did only 15 minutes of it.

Henriette - geesh. I get the passion for working out so I feel badly that you cannot do all that you want to do! We've all been there and it's a drag. What's that saying? Ya gotta slow down to speed up. grrrr

Elsie - I hope you squeeze in something today.
Annette - Happy Bday to your DH. I hope he enjoyed turning 50
Linda - I hope you got a chance to see your niece

Annette - did your DH have a good bday? Here in NL when someone turns 50 they put a life sized doll in your front yard... An Abraham or Sarah if it's a woman, that way the whole neighborhood knows what's going on. I would find it so embarrassing so I am glad when I get to that age that my BF hates anything attention grabbing. I am not sure if it is meant to humiliate the bday person or what the history is behind this strange tradition.

Today was a day to relax, do laundry and make a list of all books I want to read in my BuJo in a creative way. I always plan to do this sort of thing and save ideas on Pinterest and then never do it.

This afternoon my son was going to a party so my BF and I rode our bikes. I wanted to find the new location for the Monday night bball trainings. The trainings I give are temporarily moving and during rush hour I do not want to drive there. I more or less found it, just not sure which gates to use. Will take me abt 30min to bike there, so good exercise now that I am limited in my movements.

Once I get to my 10000 steps I tend to strat feelkng my shins. [emoji30] I will be stretching and rolling daily, but really slowing down.

Siobhan - I hope you are right, slow down to speed up. I am not good at slowing done. I love my w/o's and would love nothing more than if I could do one morning, lunch and night. I have often thought we should get paid to work 8hrs a day, but 2 of those hrs should be allowed to be spent working out. I bet we would be more productive and less sick, down, demotivated etc. A win-win I would say. [emoji39] One can dream, right?
 
Henriette, my dh just shook his head when I read what they do for 50 birthdays where you live. He didn't want any attention given to him, but he got cards and texts and phone calls from family all day long.

Hi girls, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. This morning I did a 30 min. Blender toning workout then
Went to my sister's house to see my niece, her hubby, and 2 kids, boy, now 14 and girl, now 10. Time really
Flies.. It was good to see them. Then I went by the wellness (fitness) center and spent 20 min on treadmill
And used a couple weight machines. That is probably it for me today. :)
 
Well apparently what workouts I did earlier weren't enough, :)' I just finished doing a Jane Fonda Firm & Burn
Low impact workout (about 20 min) and finished off with a 10 min. Peloton spin bike cool down ride. Now, I'm
Done :)

Henriette, that story and those pictures were too funny....
 
wow linda! you sure did a lot today. i am jealous. after my workout I showered and then went back to bed. under the weather today - moving slow.

henriette! those guys look 80.
 
OMG, those dolls! I think it's adorable, but like Ceci said - is that what a 50 yr old looks like? lol. I learned something new about your culture, Henriette. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
Glad you DH had a really nice birthday, Annette. :)

The whole weekend was tiresome here, so no workout. I will be back at it tomorrow! See you all then, friends. Hope you feel better Ceci! Wow, great workouts this weekend aquagirl!
 
I know it sounds like I did a lot, but I guess all in all, for example yesterday, my total workout time was 1 1/2 hrs. but it was divided up into
3 different times, about 30 min each, in the morning, the toning workout, about 30 min at the gym around noon, and then 30 min later in
the day.....I prefer to do several shorter workouts in a day, if I can, but it doesn't always work that way, unless I am doing CatheLive , about
45 min or so is about as long as I can do at a time......Yep, if those dolls are 50 yr lookalikes, I'm doomed at 62, or on the positive side, I'm
blessed..... :)
