Week to Week 11/30/20-12/6/20

Hi all,

Today was Margaret Richard Perfect in 10 - 1B. I am actually quite sore from yesterday's workout!!

Lannette & Lisa - I am not a fan of pilates. When I do barre/ballet I usually alternate it with vinyasa yoga.

JennieBean - ICE was the Cathe series that got me started on Cathe workouts. I really like it.

Geoff - My Christmas shopping is done too. Now I have to wrap!

Have a great day.

Good morning! Today I attempted Ripped with HIIT Low Impact HIIT One. Yeah. Just not modifiable enough for me to be able to get much out of it. But it's all good. At least I tried, and maybe one day... :)
Carol, I think I tried that one years ago and the moves were so quick I was somewhat put off. Are there lots of plyos? I feel like I was worried about my knees, if I am remembering the right one! Right, maybe one day, and even if not, there are plenty of other great ones to do!! :D

Lanette, thank you for pasting in my post from the wrong thread, lol! *facepalm* What a newbie move!

I love reading up on everything folks are doing. :) Thanks for chiming in on ICE, everyone! I'm def looking forward to it. I may start with the Chapter 2 rotation since I'm not sure I'm still a beginner... I'll think about it!

Mat work from Jane Fonda Workout Challenge in the books!! 10min of abs and you add ankle weights for the leg work makes this a killer workout!!

Lannette: Do you want to wrap my gifts for me??

Lisa: Yes, I have VERY tight hamstring muscles! When I took ballet years ago my instructor she was beyond shocked at how tight they are!!

No jumps because it's all low impact, but there are too many moves where we do get some air under our feet, so it's not doable for me because of my knees. I think I just need to try it again one day when I'm in the mood to modify nearly every move, because that's what it would take for me to get through it. :)

@Lannette so awesome you had such great success with that approach! :)

Happy Friday, everyone!! Today was Yoga Max Express One from the Low Impact series, which is only ten minutes longer than it's counterpart in Yoga Relax, and the poses are more active.

Hey Everyone!

Today is active recovery: KY 15m & Tracie Long Core Movements Vol 2 Loosen Up 34.5m

Lisa & Sherri: I’ve loved Pilates since I was first introduced to it as a ballet dancer in my early 20’s. I see Pilates and Barre as two distinct but very complimentary disciplines. A lot of what masquerades for Pilates is anything but... If you prefer there’s no reason I need to share those workouts.

Geoff: No thank you! Over the years I’ve collected/sewn fabric drawstring bags. We reuse them every year to make wrapping easy and Earth friendly. In other words, I hate wrapping gifts.

Waves to CarolRose & JennieBean.

We’re getting ready for a decent snow storm. I can’t wait!

Happy Friday, all!
I probably could have done with a rest day today (and almost did) but I put Party Rockin Step #2 in the dvd player for the first time this morning. It will be a ton of fun once I get the moves down! And hey, it was fun anyway, I was just really tired. Still am! Definitely a rest day tomorrow. I think I might do one of Cathe's extended lying down stretches. I work for UnitedHealth Care and this is our busy (overtime out the wazoo) season, and I'm not as young as I was when I started working there in 2007 :p, so I need to be mindful of my energy levels right now.

Annette: I hate wrapping, too! With a passion. I just ordered more sustainable paper but I think once that runs out it'd be good to switch to fabric or other more Earth-friendly means.

Geoff: That is so cool you used to take dance lessons! I bet that really helps with picking up new workouts.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi everybody,

Today was Margaret Richard Perfect in 10 workout 2A.

Lannette - Oh no, please continue to share your pilates workouts. Sometimes I get brave and want to give one a try. Any recs for one easy on the low back?

Waves to all!

Happy Sunday, all!

Question for the group: does everyone have Cathe OnDemand? I'm eyeing it and thinking I might reward myself with that in spring (I just got lots of Cathe dvds so I should be set for a while lol).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I may try To The Max today.

Good morning!

Yesterday was a rest day and today CL Total Body Toneup and Mimi Solarie Deep Stretch.

Jennie Bean: I have both Cathe Live and Cathe OnDemand and it is some of the best money I ever spent. I mainly stream it from the app on the fire stick but I also have it on both my iPads just in case:) I don’t know what I would do without it!

Lannette please continue to share all your workouts Pilates included. I love to see the different types of workouts everyone does!

Hello to Geoff, Sherri and CarolRose

I am off to reflexology:)

Have a great day.

Lisa

Hey everyone!
Snow storm yesterday. I set up for a day without power but we lucked out and it didn’t go out.

Yesterday was KY 15m & Stott Balance Challenge 50m

Today was KY 15m & Tracie Long G-Force Rebounding & Weights 54m - so much fun!

Sherri: I’m not sure which Pilates WO to suggest. Pilates has been one of the last WOs I added back in since I hurt my neck. I haven’t done mat Pilates yet only equipment since the equipment adds extra support. actually has two DVDs specifically targeting back health.

JennieBean: Streaming isn’t really easy for me. I actually have 90 days of free Stott streaming. I’m going to try it because it’s on YouTube and I might be able to control how much data I use. I’m also pretty hooked on my DVD collection.

Geoff: I hope Cooper’s paw is better!

CarolRose: Great WO! Love that one!

Lisa: I love Mimi Solaire’s Deep Stretch!

Have a great day everyone!
