Wednesday......Fit for T-Day

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

LOL :) Like that one?

Here's a better, more serious one:

Health and intellect are the two blessings of life.

OK......so....it's Hump Day and I'm ready for another AWESOME day!!! Hit all my goals yesterday and will again today! Amazing what just a few straight days of consistant eating/exercising/healthy-living will do for a mind and body, hugh?

Lisa-I got a chuckle out of your bubble bath and lost battle with the Reese's yesterday! LOL Did you get that cardio in this morning?

HOW IS EVERYBODY????? How many days till T-Day? I think it's like 64 till Christmas! Can you believe it? SLOW DOWN THE CLOCK, PLEASE! :)

Seriously now (I'm in a mood, can ya tell?)....this morning's workout is DONE! PUB and it rocked!

I've got a bit of a quiet day again today. Work/school, then on my walk back from there I'll stop for my flu shot they offer to staff. Then my older DS has basketball practice tonight. That's it! Simple.

I chatted with my mom last night and we firmed up my plans for Monday the 27th...I'm going to Cathe's gym to meet up with a few others and to take her Boot Camp/Drill Max class, plus some outlet shopping WITHOUT my kids! LOL

I'll BBL to check in on you all!

MAKE TODAY COUNT!

Gayle

banslug: love those quotes! Sounds like you are off to a great start and a postitive outlook. You are so lucky to be able to take one of cathe's classes live. i'm jealous.
For me, got up this morning and did a great full body workout which consisted of supersetting:
squat & lat pulldown
deadlift & pushup
bicep curl in a squated position & calf raises
tricep dips & bicycle crunch
shoulder press in plie' squat position
All these exercises were done at 3 sets of 12 with a weight that challenged me with the last rep. I then followed it up with 20 minute interval run on the treadmill: 1 minute at 8mph and 2 minutes at 6 mph (repeat 7 times). Hope you ladies have a nice day!

You all beat me to it lol. Kariev great tb w/o. i am training myself to get up earlier didn't work out but up so good start. i did the warm up to cathes rhyt step and each day i will train myself to do more so early in the am lol. i have been loving itrain w/o's lately. something different. i hope cathe starts to put out a couple of tm and ellip w/o.

gayle, i also wish i could attend those classes because i know the energy must be surreal like a road trip!! that was a great quote btw :). Your motivation this am is getting me ready to start my day!! i hit most of my goals. slept the whole night through, drank water and worked out and now i need to remember to take my vitamin and not snack so much at night. baby steps so they all last. less than two weeks for halloween but still plenty of time to reach and sustain goals for tday and xmas etc.!!

be back in a bit

Kariev-AWESOME workout this morning. Do you have the lat pull down on a machine at home???

Eriniski-baby steps is right. We have to make this healthy lifestyle WORK for us, so little at a time!!!

Ready to sit down with my hot green tea and my new book.

Gayle

Hi all:

Gayle: your optimism and enthusiasm are contageous! Thank you for being so chipper this morning! I needed that! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE your first quote!!! I'd be all over that!

"GOOD JOB" to everyone that has completed their workout already. I'm no early riser so I don't think that I would be able to complete a warm up let alone an entire workout before work, so I am working out at night when I get home... really 5pm is not that big a deal when you don't have kids or things to pull you away!

I am also getting my hair cut tonite! I have been letting it grow for the past few months, and depending on how it goes tonite will determine if I keep letting it grow... it's really short, but want a short bob type that is shorter in the back and a little longer on the sides...

so goals:

drink water, not soda (will be hard at lunch because public water SUCKS here!) but have had a complete bottle already and it's only 7:30 here! that's a bottle ahead of yesterday. Helps to be eating dry cereal! :) Having chinese chix salad with a friend from my old work so that will be fun... dinner will be ?????

Have a great day!

PS... did B&G last night

Hi guys,

I did the 53 min drills, combo 1&2 premix from K,P & C this morning. I had a great time and feel like I could have done the entire w/o this morning.

Eating still on track. :D

Lisa(Afreet), I understand the Kbell love. ;) I've been using them for some time now and I remember not wanting to do anything else also. I still try to do at least one a week.

Dani, I love Milkduds. Seriously.

I can't bring them home because I'll eat them until they're gone and it won't take me long to do it.

I did like the wave. It was fun but not very challenging. The w/os are on 30 minutes long and I always felt like I needed to do something else when I completed one. I knew it wasn't going to be something that I would use that often.

Janie, I started the Firm when they first arrived on the scene and waited patiently for each new volume to be released. ;) I'm 50.

Loved the quotes Gayle. :D Lucky you! I wish I lived close enough to take classes with Cathe. :(

Finish the day strong girls. It's taking me a little while to get used to daily threads. I had to go back and read yesterdays to see what I missed. ;)

Hi everyone;

Still on track with diet, despite being sorely tempted by everything in the universe. Why is it that whenever I decide I'm going to be squeaky-clean with my diet, there is suddenly free cake everywhere?? I love cake! But I've managed to resist.

Fun, super-hard kettlebell workout this morning! Yesterday was just cardio and I wasn't very motivated, so I took the dogs to the park and we all had a fun run together.

Everyone - good work! It's early days but we're doing great so far. I'm trying to make mental notes of what's working for me, motivation-wise, so I can stay strong as more and more free cake starts turning up (I swear...it's everywhere. Is there some sort of conspiracy??).:D

Hello All,
Quote contribution:
"If there's anything worse than carbs, it's free carbs"
I had a friend who used to say that at drug rep dinners. Blast the cake! What a metaphor for life. I am very proud of all of you strong women for kicking butt on your workouts! I woke up and did cardio coach #7 this AM, which was the equivalent of 60 minutes of intervals. It was awesome. Now I just have to work on hydrating before and after my runs, and imagining that the metaphorical free cake has worms in it with booger icing. That will be my goal tomorrow!
Have a great night!

I also have to announce I am so HAPPY, I just found out I passed a HUGE TEST and I am ecstatic!!!!
