What's your field? I'm looking for a job in communications as a writer/editor and have found several job sites specific to that field and in nonprofit and education, which are the 2 fields I have experience in. I've also found that identifying a wish list of employers and keeping up with the job postings on their site helpful. And, I'm looking in South Florida and doing a regional job search has also helped.
I'm also using monster, hotjobs, and career builder. Monster seems to come up with the most frequent and relevant prospects. Thru career builder I get a lot of get-rich-quick schemes and I find it more difficult to filter their jobs, although they seem to have cornered the newspaper want-ad market. I haven't used hotjobs as much, but plan to as I get more diligent in my search.
