Our family took a staycation to Durango, CO this weekend and are TOTALLY in love with this place!! We spent four wonderful and relaxing nights having fun and chillin' out!
Saturday night we road the Polar Express. It was soo amazing! We went all out and got the premier package because at almost 9 years old he is beginning to question Santa. Noooo - not yet, please! This pretty much clenched the deal. On the way up to the "North Pole" the conductor came and punched our golden tickets, and we had hot chockolate while the book over the intercom and the 'chef' walked around with it for the kiddos to see!
Once we reached the North Pole, none-other than Santa boarded the train!! We have some wonderful photos with Santa! We sang Christmas carols on the way back. We also got to see "Billy" with is special gift from Santa jumping around in his front yard.
Oh my gosh- it was soooo magical!! Randy was jumping up and down and giggling and dancing about "the best night of his life"!!!!
He was soo excited he had a hard time getting to sleep! Sooo wonderful to share in this indelible memory of childhood!
The next day, we hung out and went to the mineral pool for a super duper relaxing afternoon. We are soooo in love with Durango we are thinking seriously of moving there!!
If there is a Polar Express train in your area I encourage you to do it while it's still magical!! Oh I'm all goose-pimply now!
Happy Holidays!!
