Heather, stay warm! There was up to a foot of snow on the ground about an hour away from us yesterday! Luckily, all we got was rain. I'm not ready for snow.

Morning Judy. Any ideas of where your half marathon may be?

JJ, well, I bit the bullet and took a couple days of vacation to do housework. It's the big fall stuff like windows and floors. We don't have any vacations planned for next year (since we took 3 this year!) so I'll have some time to spare.

Wendy, LOL at your budding chef. Good job with the workout. I thought it sounded pretty tough.

Hi Vilma. What's go you so busy? Work? Home? Take a deep breath and get back here when you can.

Hey, Ellie, that was just a quickie yesterday. Were you still worn out from Monday? Are you planning on getting to the GTG in Hershey next month? You don't live too far away, do you?

Up and at em. Time to get me motivated to stay on track.
I ate a Cinnabon at 10pm last night. So I'm getting ready to run from NJ to SC to burn that baby off. I should arrive around the year 2012.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! The scale is CREEPING up a little and I'm SCARED ! I've been sick and busy (EXCUSES) so I have let my eating and w/o suffer. I have got to get going. And I'm not sure I could even make it off my block with the run, so Cathe videos will have to do

Peeps Check-in

Peeps:

Do they make piggy Peeps? They need to make one in my honor. This Peep fell off the intuitive eating wagon last night and landed snout first in a feeding trough. I am attending a seminar this week after work from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. I could have done an internet or DVD course at home. Being the social critter that I am, I wanted to attend a live class with (hopefully) fun people. My classmates are funny, and the teacher is hilarious and entertaining too. She treated us to a buffet with steak, potatoes, rolls, Southern food, Thanksgiving food, and all kinds of yummy desserts. And endless refills of sweet tea! The banquet table looked like several holidays rolled into one. The sweet little grandma who is our lecturer encouraged us to eat up because she was paying full price for our meal. I had a flashback to childhood days of being fed by my beloved grandma, and I had quite feast!

I know where I went wrong. I am tired as a result of sleepless nights this month. I let myself get way too hungry last night. I forgot to pack my afternoon snack for work yesterday. I did not have time to eat anything after work. I was about to pass out from hunger by the time we took a break for dinner. We had a short break and had to eat quickly. I was distracted by all the conversations around me and not paying attention to what I was doing. I stuffed down way more than I needed. It hit me 20 minutes later. I ate way too much. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

Good news! I have a bad food hangover this morning. Yes, this is good news. It is an indication that my body can no longer tolerate junk like this. I used to binge on way more than I ate last night and never got sick.

Social eating is still a struggle for me. Any suggestions? I have to attend the second half of this seminar tonight.

Robin, I love Hershey Park! I wish I lived closer to you.

Catherine, I hope you feel better. We have missed you in the Peeps check-in!

Ellie, run to Texas! That should burn off the Cinnabon! I am battling scale creep too. I am ready to kick butt in November. Wanna join me? I need to get this under control before the holidays!

OK...it is after 9:30 and I'm still in my pj's sitting at the computer:eek: I need to get going before I decide to bag my workout. CCV8 for me today!

Robin~ I hope you get all your chores out of the way and can enjoy some of your vacation time just doing something for yourself;)

Catherine~ I'm sorry I missed your post about not feeling well:( Take care!! I saw your shout-out to Snidey...that was nice of you. Strange how a harmless post can turn on a dime and get testy:confused:

Ellie~ You are not alone with the scale thing:( I hopped on mine a few days ago cuz I was feeling puffy and I'm up 4 lbs:mad: This is the worst time of year for me. The weather gets colder and I want to eat more warm "comfort" foods rather than salads and lite things. Plus, we have halloween, thanksgiving and christmas and parties of the season which make it tough to stay clean. At least we have our workouts;)

Heather~ We all fall off the wagon occasionally. Give yourself a pat on the back for being aware and fighting back. It is good to hear your body reacted negatively against too much junk. Those signals help to keep us in line;) Would it be possible to bring healthy snacks to the seminar? {{{Hugs}}}

Good Morning, Peeps! I've put a pot of coffee on for those who follow me. :)

I have gone *two days in a row* now with working out. Whoo Whoo! I did 4DS Triceps & Biceps. I love the strength workouts in this series!

The Daily Houdini Report: NO NAP yesterday! Ugh! But she rallied and took one in the car on the way home from Grandma's. Then she slept on the living room floor until 7PM. Woke up in fine spirits and enjoyed a Giada (Everyday Italian) pork chop dish, Whole Foods rice, and peas for dinner and remained in a fairly good mood for the rest of the night, much to my delight...I need to take a picture of her new pj's for you guys. Pink flannel with Curious George all over them. Tres cute!

Robin--This Peep loves Wednesday for sure!

Catherine--Please don't push yourself. If you need another day of rest, take it. Cathe will wait for you until tomrorow. LOL!

Ellie--I've noticed a few pounds here and there, too. I signed up for Cathe's nutrition program yesterday for a one-month period and I've already learned a LOT about what I eat! For example, I don't really like salt and NEVER put it on my food, yet I consumed 2808 mg of sodium yesterday!! I'm going to use this to just monitor what I eat and find ways to reduce maybe about 200 calories a day (more appealing than having to do Boot Camp/Drill Max every day to keep a pound away, HA!)

Heather--Oh, boy, what a tempting food table you faced! I LIVE for Thanksgiving food (it's my favorite holiday--it's all food!) and it's all so...uh...not kind, if you know what I mean. Here's what I would do tonight: pick out three of your favorites and take a *smidge* of each. Like a tablespoon or two. Then fill the empty portions of your plate with steamed veggies, salad, a lean protein. I find if I get a bite or two of the "un-kind" foods (stuffing, sweet potato casserole, etc.) that's enough to satisfy without feeling deprived. Reach for the pumpkin pie over pecan (I know, that's a HORRIBLE thing to say in Texas) and eat the filling but not the crust. (My favorite trick ever.) Maybe this would help?

JJ--I know what you mean about harmless posts becoming a drama. That's why I really love Robin for creating Peeps and giving us a fun place to make new friends, drama free. :)

Finished my workout today – On the Edge and I ended up doing the 40 m. followed by the 12m. blast. Thats was a good sweaty one for sure :)

Robin – Enjoy your time at home. Try to enjoy your off time by just relaxing too.
We did the cleaning of the siding of house and windows during the summer.

I car pool my kids back and forth; my son had his cross country regionals roughly 2 hours away so I had to drive him to and from the event on Saturday. Turned out to be an all day event & he did really well, but that trip on Saturday put all the other items I had to do on the way side – so I was playing catch up. Plus its TOM so my energy levels always are rockbottom during this time:(

Catherine – I must’ve missed that post about your not feeling well. I hope you are fairing much better today.

How are your Kettlebell sessions going? Since I have no one close by to have a Kettlebell session I’m eagerly looking at any and all tips that can help me with my form when I do my Kettlebell workouts.


Ellie Wow cinnabon? I haven’t had one of those creations in years – Good too because that type of stuff is one of my food triggers that I need to stay away from. I can’t have just one. :eek:

My scale has been creeping and I’m now journaling and back to counting WW points. After 4 yrs of not really needing to do that I noticed the past two months the scale is going up (I’m a Lifetimer so I was only weighing once a month- I’m now back to weekly WIs here at home) so I need to get serious if I want to get it back down. It’s not easy but if I don’t do it for me no body will.

My suggestion: keep up with the exercise and just watch what you eat making better food choices. I’m trying here myself ::sighs:: .

Heather Good for you that you realized the food choices you made , just take it one meal at a time. One day at a time. Big Hugs to you! So do you have good snacks with you today? I bet you do ;)


JJ If it wasn’t that I need to get up and make breakfast for the kiddos & lunches by 6am I would be in my jammies also- esp with the cold , dark mornings lately.

I know what you mean about the posts – reason why I stay over in the check ins lately. The feelings/vibes over on the OD has changed and it makes me sad, before the big move to Cathenation I never noticed that vibe before and its just so much of it :(

Wendy Thanks for the fresh pot of coffee. :) Yay for your workouts . I still have to push myself some days to even get started on mine. Wow dinner at your house sounds scrumptious, I’m sure she looks like a cutie pie with her new curious George jammies.

Hi again PEEPS

One year to the day I got my period. Now does this mean I go thru menopause AGAIN or just the freaky hot flashes, mood swings, junk food rages (oh wait, that was me before Menopause!!) I actually had to go to the store for "Feminine Hygiene Products". That's the aisle in Acme. Oh, just put bitchy,bleeding ladies only aisle, we all know where to go. And will be happy to tell anyone else too :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Robin – Fall cleaning is my FAVE!!! I am a little bit of a clean freak anyway but this time of year I get soooo crazy. Clean out the closets,basement etc. But Robin, take a little time for YOU!! I notice that you do a lot for others, now do a little something that you enjoy.


Catherine – What's up?? Sick, tired, both??? Get better soon, we need you around here to start obnoxious threads like "Where is Spidey". That was so controversial and over the top. I can see why people were up in arms and flaming you. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D What were you thinking???? I was just so glad you didn't throw kettlebells in there!!! Coulda started WWIII

Vilma, I am back to my WW points also. Started this am. WOW, you should have seen my face when I added yesterday's points online (never mind that I crashed the WW site). I really need to get back on track.

Heather That is an awful situation to be in. Sometimes when faced with that much food, I cave, other times I walk around and socialize so I won't eat. Can't talk with my mouth full.:D:D:D I know how hard it can be, just don't beat yourself up, get back on track and put that behind you. Laughed about the horse in the trough!!:D


JJ -I would LOVE to be in my jammies right now. I have to be at school to help with schedules and fund raising events etc. Tomorrow, I WILL be in my jammies all day!!! Enjoy your workout?
I just ignore the bad vibe in OD and seek out the fun ones. Who has time for all that?? We can make it fun!!!



Wendy- COFFEE, COFFEE and more COFFEE!!! I am having some right now. Love it and need it. I'm sure Houdini has you loving it too. My boys still get up at 5, even on weekends. I always get them holiday jammies. This year for Halloween they have skeletons on them and say Bad to the Bone!! In the morning I can't stop singing it!!!!
