I was just thinking to email you and offer you my house on Bolivar. We got power back there on Thursday. Cleaned it up and hauled off the tree that fell over the weekend, so it's inhabitable again. That Rita was a nasty mean beeyotch of a storm, wasn't she!

OMG Mona! that is so nice of you! glad your get away is ok. do you know how the fire station fared there? i spent a few new year's eve's there partying with all the barefooted Bolivar RESIDENTS. i know alot of people there and it is a fun little community! thanks for thinking of us!

thanks everyone for celebrating with me:7 i have been nuking everything just because and i am loving the endless supply of hot water! it was great to cook something in MY kitchen last night and use the dishwasher it is amazing what you take for granted.

I'm a little behind on posts right now, sorry for the late reply. All three fire depts are OK - Pt Bolivar, Crystal Beach, and Gilchrist. They were using the Gilchrist station as a Red Cross/FEMA relief center while they had access to the peninsula shut down.
