Are her CDs kid friendly? She was recently on the Nick Kids awards and my five year old DD loves her. The songs played on the radio are very bee-boppy but before I buy any CDs I'd like to know what to expect!

TIA!:)

Well, if you don't mind your kids singing these lyrics, then she's fine:

"Ooooh ooh, this my sh##, this my sh## [x4]

Let me hear you say this sh## is bananas
B-A-N-A-N-A-S
(This sh## is bananas)
(B-A-N-A-N-A-S)

Again
This sh## is bananas
B-A-N-A-N-A-S
(This sh## is bananas)
(B-A-N-A-N-A-S)"

Of course that is all bleeped on the radio. Not sure about the cd though. And that's just one of her songs. You could do a search on the internet for the lyrics from her other songs and see what they are like. I just know this one because my dance team had a routine to it and there were like a million bleeps in the song because of all the sh##'s she uses! ;)

All of her songs can be found "clean" on I-Tunes (my sister downloads Gwen Stefani's songs on I-tunes so her daughter can sing along) and many of her CD's offer clean versions as well. Your daughter could certianly listen to many of the songs, but like anything you'd need to listen to them all first and maybe pick and choose which ones she can listen to.

She does have totally clean songs that I know of, so you could possibly just burn a cd of just the clean ones for her. As far as the songs that are "cleaned" up, you can still totally tell what the word is that goes there, but maybe you dd wouldn't know? That bugs me more sometimes than the word just being there though. I hate listening to a song that goes "---" every few words. And half the time the record companies can't seem to get the beep in fast enough to keep the first letter of the word from leaking out and giving a dead giveaway to what was bleeped. ;)
