Hi all,

Just starting us off. I hope everyone has a great day. Today is legs and cardio for me, plus some yoga.

Thanks to all for the concerns about FIL and SIL. What a mess it is.

I'll be glad to go back to work tomorrow.

Tracy

Jeanette here,
Traci, Wendy and Laurie are leaving to go home here in a few. I'll be here for another day and will leave bright and early tomorrow morning.

We had the BEST day yesterday, the winery, bistro, nice dinner, do you see a trend here? Laughing and more laughing! Wendy and Debra have big adventures when they go to the restroom. I really think they attract weirdos (besides the obvious).

Also got to see Laurie's DVD of her Ren Faire group. That was flat AWESOME! I loved watching that and so admire those that dedicate themselves to this event (think it runs 9 weeks during the summer). I can't imagine wearing those heavy clothes thru the heat. Now I've got to go to a ren faire near me, which will probably be hours and hours away as I live in the wilderness compared to Debra. Hey, we have a Walmart for clothes.

I wanted to golf today but I think all the golf courses are probably soaked so will help Debra with anything she needs (peace and quiet is mostly likely what she really wants), watch a movie with Julia, maybe read, walk, maybe work out, who knows. I just love the scenery around here. Sure beats sagebrush and pine trees.

Will sign off now, talk to all of you later,

Jeanette

Good Morning Everyone:

Well, still trying to decide what to do today. Had a nice lie in and now enjoying my coffee and watching Coronation Street (a regular Sun. ritual for this family).

Didn't w/o yesterday but played out side with my DS. I swear I did't sit down between breakfast and dinner so I'll call Sat. an active rest day.

DS got his first hockey stick yesterday and will probably get his trike today. We actualy went to see Leatherheads yesterday with George (yummy) Clooney and Renee Zellwegger. It was good but no surprises.

I recently got Your Body Breakthru by Michelle Dozois and want to try that program. Not a big Michelle fan but I think I can stomach her in these. Just want to take a break from Cathe b/4 STS begins.
So will probably do her strength dvd today. I just tried about 3 weeks of Jari and not into her at all and think I've lost muscle tone. So many rotations I want to do but so little time it seems.

Have a safe trip home girls.

Over & Out.

Good morning,

Tracy - Monday can't come soon enough for you, hey?

Jeanette - Thanks for the update. How come we never heard from Laurie these past few days? Did she leave her typing fingers at home? Who's going to give us the detailed version of events? All of your posts these days have been unacceptably brief :)

I got a solid, great sleep last night (11pm to 7am, like I prefer), and feel world's better today. I'm going to go plan some kind of a rotation for the week, then go do a workout. I'm leaning towards doing the Gym Styles this week.

We still have lots of snow around from yesterday, so I think my plans to start running or biking outside will be put off for another week.

Happy travels to Wendy, Laurie and Traci!

Have a great day,
Sandra

GS Chest & Triceps is done. 4DS HIS cardio is done. Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti forward bends, twists, and hip openers is done. I feel good.

Sandra

Well, did YBB UB & core which is only 1/2hr and didn't feel like I got much of a w/o. Did 30min of the cardio and feel better. Will give the leg w/o a try tomorrow but don't think I'll be incorporating these into my routine past tomorrow.

I go to have a shower and a snack b/4 DS wakes up from his nap.

Hi all...I was going to hop on to let everyone know that I got three of the gals to the airport on time..so what happens from there is out of my hands!!! And I see that sweet Traci is already back in the bosom of her warm home...And by the way..it is going to be 80 here by Friday!!

I think we successfully tired Jeanette out as she is taking a tiny nap right now...or maybe reading her fantasy book....LOL. It sure got quiet around here once I dropped off everyone at the airport this morning!!

Jeanette spent some quality time with DD today...since I have been a bad mother for the past 3 days so at least she has someone to talk to....And then I helped her make a kite (DD, not Jeanette!). Now DD is outside running with the fundamentalists. See what happens when you guys leave?? Jeanette was a very good girl and worked out today...I am hoping to be back on track tomorrow with workouts...I worked on my presentation while she was working out since I need to be prepared in the morning. I am feeling pretty darn tired myself, but I must get in the shower and then start cooking dinner. Jeanette is such a slave driver. I don't know why she doesn't like the way I smell...LOL. And I don't know why she can't eat the leftovers from 3 days ago!! Just kidding CBL is coming by and we are going to have probably the most healthy meal we have had all weekend...baked chicken, roasted veggies and whole grain rice.

Okay..gotta run and get the stink off me and maybe actually shave my legs (and Traci...hope you have done that as well!!). Hope everyone has a great evening....I will be getting up before the roosters crow in the morning to get dear Jeanette to the airport, so I will see you all after that!

Kisses and hugs to all....Oh, and Sandra...you may want to rethink hosting a retreat for these crazy ladies...who knows what will happen if they even let them into another country...I bet a couple of them will have problems getting passports due to their sketchy histories!

DEB: Please refrain from wearing your PJ's to the airport tomorrow!

Forgot to mention 2 things....

First..Don't let Traci fool any of you into thinking I am a good hostess...Poor Jeanette was foraging through my pantry because I forgot to feed her lunch, and the healthiest thing she could come up with was a PB&J sandwich!

Also...Wendy....You left your photo book here...I will send it out when I send out everyone else's wine and barbeque sauce!

Traci..My dear, I promise I WILL be wearing my pjs to the airport tomorrow...I am planning on kicking Jeanette out of the car while it is still moving...LOL!!

Hello Ladies,

I am safe and sound after my trip, and it is 60 deg here!!!. Had a slight delay in Chicago due to hydraulic issues, but it only was about a 10 min delay. Talked to a nice young man on the flight from NC to Chicago named Dennis. He has two dogs and one is a german shepherd. Getting married to his GF in October in Maryland. Good thing I was still in the talking mood. :D Must have had that "I want you to talk to me face", because everyone that sat down next to me wanted to talk. Well except for the ride from Chicago to Milwaukee. Got to read the end of my book on that flight.

Cami was happy to see me, and we already took a walk. DH and DD's will be home soon, so I may park my bod on the bed and chill for a while. Read/watch TV (Nascar Race is on right now in Texas!!!) Should have gone to TX this weekend. :D :D :D And need to plan out my next rotation.

Sandra, I'm like Traci and the old school thing. Should have seen how long it took me to print out my boarding pass. :7 :7 :7 Not used to those lap tops. :7 See what happens when you can't make a retreat! You get nominated to host! Wasn't my doing, they must have decided this after I left.

Partricia, Glad to meet ya!

Jeanette, Hope you have a safe flight tomorrow. Early morning traffic shouldn't be to bad! ;-)

Debra, Sounds like a nice quiet night tonight. ;-) Enjoy your "healthy" food. And thanks for letting us be there, it was truly a fun time. :7

Wendy, Try to stay warm will ya!!!

Taci, Dang woman you let that name out of the bag already!!! Glad you are home & cozy. So Edmonton it is, must have been after I left.

Going to head to the bedroom to ponder my rotation! NOT!!! Nascar is on. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Jeanette here,
I just got up from my nap. Debra is just working me to a frazzle, cleaning, cooking, taking care of the diva. I think she wants to be sure I never come back again. Seriously, it's been like a spa pampering vacation. I feel rejuvenated physically, spiritually and emotionally and am ready to start working out with more of a purpose than I have been. More than anything, it's been just amazing to realize what good, caring women my forum checkin buddies are. Not an axe murderer in this whole bunch. Now of course, not everyone came so I can't swear for those that didn't attend.

Debra is voted the A#1 hostess of the 1st Xer/Watercooler (whatever we are) Retreat. "Retreat" is definitely the best name for this little gathering. I can't begin to say how cozy and comforting it was each morning/evening to sit in our PJ's with a cozy, soft afghan wrapped around our bodies, sipping on good coffee and curled up in comfy chairs chatting about nothing and everything, laughing until we'd cry, thinking of non-laughing moments that made us cry (Wendy, Traci you know what I'm talking about). I will forever hold these few days in my heart. Mmmmmmm, I'm sipping on that 2005 Childress Chardonnay right now, you know, the first one that we sampled. I can't say what the highlight of the weekend was, dinner out at M. Stevens last night, or the Winery trip, or watching Laurie's Renaissance Faire DVD (that was a magical experience and has piqued my interest in attending one). It was just one fabulous experience and I definitely will be looking forward to Edmonton next year.

I will post more tomorrow when I get home. CBL is here so I need to be sociable now and keep them from getting crazy with each other, something about getting ready for the next challenge....5-4-3-2-1 Go!

See you all in the morning,

Jeanette

Laurie - couldn't resist responding when I see you're a Nascar fan. My DH spent the whole afternoon on the couch watching it too and this year he is taking us in June to Michigan to show us what it is all about. When I tell him about you maybe he will stop shaking his head everytime he sees me on the computer. Now if I could only try to convince him to watch Nascar you have to be interested in fitness too. Any ideas?

Glad to hear all the retreaters had a good time and home safe & sound (well safe anyhow - I'm not so sure about the sound though;-) )

Glad to hear all the retreaters had such a great time and are returning home safely!

Thanks for the bday party well wishes. It was definitely one of the easiest kids's parties I've planned. I think 13 or 14 kids showed up, theyplayed soccer for 1hr (we rented an indoor soccer pitch) and then were too tired to do much else besides eating cake. We also went to see the hockey game in the evening. So those two outings combined with my long run in the am, I was exhausted and slept until almost 8 this morning.

Today was church, ds's flyers, hair cut/colour and yoga. I love my new hair colour!!! I tried Eoin Finn for the first time. I did the Magically Hips workout that Debra recommended. It was a nice change from YogaX. DH did it with me and he wasn't too impressed with Eoin, thinks he's a bit strange. My legs were really tight from yesterday's run so the yoga felt good!

Christiane- Has your dd heard anything from the auditions yet? What a workout that audition must have been! Wow, your DH is doing great with sticking with his program!

Patricia- Did you get a tricycle for ds? My MIL and SIL are big Coronation Street fans also. The first hockey stick how cute! Not too long and you can sign him up for organized hockey. My ds started at age 5.LOL My DH and DS are the stereotypical hockey crazed Canadians!

Tracy I sure hope that you have a good day back at work tomorrow! The 4ds rotation sounds like fun.

Sandra Please keep all the snow in Alberta! Spring is coming to Manitoba!! Nothing wrong with having an occasional relaxing day. Sounds like you made up for it today!

Gotta go get kids ready for bed, back to school and work tomorrow! Spring break sure flew by! I don't know if you'll "see" me tomorrow with work, dd's piano lessons and PUB on the schedule.
