"...and all the boards did shrink."

Okay, what's really shrinking is my bladder capacity.

I know I should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, but I swear it's as hard as getting a good flossing routine going.

I feel so water-logged, even though my consumption is spaced out throughout the day. Plus I'm in the bathroom every hour, it seems. That the good old bladder has seen better days, especially before I had children, doesn't help much either.

Anyone else feel like they're constantly sloshing over to the ladies' room? Does this get better in time, or should I get used to feeling like a water balloon?

I drink ALOT and I pee ALOT, but rarely do I get the sloshy feeling. I'm on the phone all day at work, so even if I'm not thirsty, my mouth is dry and I drink. Plus they keep the heat at about a zillion degrees so it is always very dry in there. I've always been a heavy drinker (no, not like THAT). If we go out for dinner, I will generally drink 3 big, restaurant sized glasses of iced tea or water with dinner. Water/beverages don't seem to fill me up. It runs right through. So for drinking a glass of water to hold off dinner for an hour, it doesn't work, so that kinda sucks. Keep a glass or bottle of water at your desk at work, and by your spot on the couch/chair at home, and you will end up drinking more automatically, just because its there. As for trips to the bathroom, that is just going to happen w/ lots of beverage, just get used to it. I go at least once an hour at work when I'm slugging back water all day. I go thru one 16 oz (reusable) water bottle every hour on a busy day or every 2 hours on slower days. This is following 2 cups of coffee on the way to work, and a diet coke or iced tea with lunch mid day. I drink ALOT. Probably half that when I'm at home all day.

I find it really helps to take sips at regular intervals rather than gulping or swallowing larger amounts here and there. At work i always have water at my desk and i am constantly sipping on this. I still go to the ladies room throughout the day but not as much as when i've swallowed larger amounts of water at one time. Slow and steady works for me.
When i workout i drink as much as i feel like, whenever i feel like it though.

Thanks, guys. I'll try sipping and see if that helps any.

I find I'm waking through the night too, needing a trip to the bathroom. It's a pain in the butt, however it doesn't seem to be affecting me in a negative way, meaning I'm not tired from the interruption of sleep. Quite the opposite ~ I wake up at 6 or 6:15, ready to work out. Given that it's still cold and dark here, that's saying something.

Good question...I've been shy to ask. There used to be commercials on for a medicine if you went to the bathroom frequently (forgot the name of it!) made me think maybe I was going too much and my body was supposed to be holding the water. I'm like Nan..it just goes right through me. The coffee in the morning probably doesnt hep either.

I view my frequent trips to the restroom as additional chances to get some exercise. :p I sit at a desk all day, so any chance to get up and walk around is welcome.
