Warning: Stability Ball Safety

About six weeks ago I was doing KPC. I was sweaty and when I laid down on the ball to start the ab work I slid off and the ball flew out behind my head. I hit the floor and knocked the wind out of myself. I had numbness and tingling across the top of my head for three weeks after this and severe headaches and neck pain. It is finally subsiding. I have learned to towel off and put on a t-shirt or something when I do this. I was feeling to confident in using the ball. All I can say is I am glad I was not doing the woodchops with the dumbell yet. Just thought I would pass this along so others don't make the same mistake.

Thank you, Diane Sue. I've had some close calls during the pikes, when the ball slips and I'm on my way up into pike position. I do think it's important to not let the ball be too wet, by toweling it off or wearing a T-shirt or tights. I'm glad you're ok.

I did fall off during the woodchops! Went off the back and hit my head and shoulder on my leg press machine. Yikes!

I've slid off during pikes. Luckily, I have carpet under me when I work out and didn't get hurt too badly. Your injury sounds BAD! Glad it's getting better.
