Wanted:Back definition!

Cathlete
Hi everyone! I've just been reading up on two months' worth of posts, as I've been super busy at work and haven't been to the forum. Cathe, CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm really excited for you and your family. My husband and I have decided to try in the next year or so, (I'm still a little bit chicken, I'm not too proud to admit!) But I digress...
I'm wondering what I can do (if anything) to get muscle definition in my back/lats? I have that attractive little fold of skin that I really want to get rid of. I've started to notice more stomach definition since I started my PS rotation. I'm wondering if the new videos would be a better route for me to take toward defining and sculpting my muscles? (I don't have them yet, but we all know it's inevitable!) Any input would be greatly appreciated!! I'm glad to be back, I've missed you girls and guys!!

Hi Tricia! The new videos are super focused and concentrated on each muscle, each set, each rep. This focus may be just what's needed to give you that boost. Also, try a kickboxing tape with a hard focus on punching drills to help keep your back and arm muscles firm. Good luck!

This is strictly a "for what it's worth, take it or leave it" suggestion:

I used to have a Health Rider, one that allowed me to load it with weights. I would use it for aerobic exercise, but in the meantime, I developed REALLY well defined back muscles in the bargain (I'd love it if I could get my legs that well defined!). It was the constant rowing motion that did it, but I don't know why you couldn't do a rowing exercise with tubing. I have an Xertube, and with that you can do a really effective rowing exercise.

Also, if you belong to a gym, you could spend some time on a rowing machine.

Thank You Cathe and Honeybunch!! I never would have connected the kickboxing tapes, I guess because all I ever feel is my poor biceps! BTW,I am really hoping that my DH will take all the hints I've dropped about how happy and excited and thrilled I would be if he got me the new tapes for my birthday coming up(it's Halloween!)...And that he should probably order them now so that they get here in time for my big SURPRISE!!! Have I done everything possible?? Keep your fingers crossed!!! Thanks again for your ideas and support!!

Hi Tricia - I'm getting amazing deifintion in my back since doing the Slow/Heavy series. The chest/back vol. is excellent, because not only are there bent-over rows & deadlifts but also prone & supine planks to work core muscles, and the beloved superman move to work lower back. I totally love the Slow/Heavy series, I've been doing it now for a few months and I'm really seeing some serious muscle!! -marnie
