Want to lose weight but not muscle

Hi Cathe,
I want to know what i should do to lose weight but stil maintain the muscle that i have. I am more interested in diet wise ..what foods should i try to eat more of? ..protein?
also i just wanted to say thank you for the great videos

Hi Melissa! Simply eat balanced, nutritious, meals, that are moderate in protein, moderate in carbs, and low in fat. Eat a wide variety of these types of foods for optimal nutrient intake. For best results, eat all of your foods in their most natural state, hence, clean eating. When you are lifting heavy and a lot, you want to just slightly increase your protein intake to aid in muscle repair. You also want to increase your caloric intake slightly to have enough energy to fuel your heavy workouts. Drink plenty of water and sleep well too. Take Care!
