Whoever submitted this recipe to the Cathe CookieBook, it is a fantastic cookie!!! I made two batches of these today and plan to do more for a cookie exchange my family is having on Christmas day.

I have the ingredients to make the Oreo balls but didn't get around to them today. Got the potato candy made and a ton of Ritz crackers w/ PB dipped in white chocolate, this is DD's favorite, she made those today.

I ate two walnut frosties but that's all. That is one incredible cookie!!!

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jane!

Now there's another one I want to make!!!!

Today I made your pineapple coconut snowballs and I didn't eat one (they are chillin');-) but they look great!
I DID eat another Oreo ball .......but one a day isn't TOO bad!

I also still want to make cinnamon (hard) candy. But I have cookies coming out of my ears , and we've already sent to dh's work, dd's work TWICE, & of course we've eaten some too.
Still have more friends to share with but I better stop making cookies or we'll be eating them until Valentine's day!!!

Okay, I'm going to check out the walnut frosties in the cookbook now.:p

Becky, I think this is one of the best cookies I've ever had. When I tasted it for the first time, I thought, you've got to be kidding!! I ate two!!

I also didn't mention above that I ate one of my apricot crescents out of the oven. Just HAD to, they only come out of the oven once. They melt in your mouth, all that butter in that flaky dough..DROOL!!!

I have the oreo balls to make yet, more of the Walnut frosties, and the pineapple coconut balls.

I gave away my first tray today to one of our dear friends, we spent a little while with them this afternoon. He is the one who has melanoma, I had posted back in the early fall, that had spread to his brain. He starts his third round of chemo this week, has had two rounds of radiation and can't have any more of that, and the tumors are still growing. It is too sad for words......

I sent a tray with DD to her boyfriend's family. Still have a few to go for neighbors and our pet sitters who tends our horses and dog when we are out of town, then I think I'm through. I have really enjoyed baking this weekend and the fact that I seem to have an amazing amount of control. What that all about I wonder???

Oh well, I think I'm rambling now... I'll hush.;)

I believe the Walnut Frosties are courtesy of Robin (buffetgirl).:)

I'll definitely have to try them with such a high recommendation.

Thanks!

Oh no! Another cookie that I'll have to try making?! We have cookies everywhere over here. I've given them to everybody. I'll have to start giving out round two, good idea! Or I'll start passing them out to strangers. LOL!

Thanks for the heads up on this one. :)

Yes, IMO these win the blue ribbon. I have never had a cookie like this. It is different and oh so good!!

Oh good! That's on my schedule to make this week for Christmas. I made the oreo balls this weekend and they were a HUGE hit. We had friends over yesterday to watch Vikings get beat x( and while the guys were throwing things at the TV I had them try one to sweeten them up. Well, our friend doesn't normally eat sweet things, but he gave one a try and couldn't put them down :7 So, I will definitely make those again if I have time.

Thanks again - these recipes are awesome.

Marcia.

I'm so glad you guys liked the Walnut Frosties. They are one of my favorites. Even better are the Almond Butter Sticks I posted with the Walnut Frostie recipe. Everyone looks for that cookie when I make up a tray. Wonder why I only make them at Christmas, since they are so popular. I guess that helps make them special.

I think I'm going to have to try these. I've been looking at the cookie book for the last couple of days deciding what to make first. All the recipes sound divine!

JANE!

Quick question.
I am making these cookies....but just mixed up the dough and it is dry and crumbly. I've reread the recipe several times and didn't leave anything out.
There is no way these will roll into balls or make an depression in the center.
Any ideas?
I was thinking of adding some water, milk or another egg.
