<---walking in a winter wonderland

<---waves hi to Teri ket!!!
<---has not been here much lately either because of work
<---hopes to be here more in the future though
<---needs her OAL fix!!!

<--- says hi to debbie and teri and is glad to see back them here :7
<--- thinks it sounds stinky that robin isn't off
<--- is a little bit confused - realises it's thanksgiving this week but it also seems to be the start of christmas as well, is that right?
<--- doesn't decorate house till sunday before christmas!!
<--- anyway, hopes everyone has a lovely time whatever they're doing

<---is happy to hear from Debberino and the Schmoopster
<---tells Shannon it only seems like <--works every weekend
<---actually has it better than most labs - only has to work every third weekend and two holidays per year
<---is doing well with the eating today
<---hasn't had time to eat
<---or even think about eating
<---thinks that is the key
<---must stay busy, must stay busy

<---tells Ronne that every year the stores put the Christmas stuff out earlier and start playing Christmas music even earlier
<---was a little perturbed to go into Wal-Mart on Nov. 1 and hear Jingle Bells
<---admits she has her house decorated for Christmas already, but only because she is going to be gone (WA state) during Christmas and wanted to enjoy her stuff now
<---says that typically though, people do not seriously start putting up lights etc. until the day after Thanksgiving ;)

<--- tells Ronne that, generally speaking, there is much more hoopla on this side of the pond over Christmas than <--- remembers there being in the UK
<--- puts up the tree, etc. as late as possible and would rip it all down on Boxing Day (which they don't have in the U.S.) if <--- could
<--- leaves it up for Sophie:)

<---sees that Liann will be in the great northwest over Christmas
<---had to laugh last night when <--bought something on ebay for my sister
<---adds that the seller is in WA, she will mail the item here and <--will give it to my sister who will take it back to WA

<---tells Robin that she will be spending Christmas Eve with her family at her parent's house in PA, then she and DH will be flying to WA the next morning and spending Christmas Day - New Year's at her in-laws.
<---says that DH will be dragging her skiing during that trip and the entire family (16 total) also plans to drive up to their TINY 2 room cabin in the mountains for a night spent keeping the wood stove lit... ;)
<---is working on having a good attitude about the trip
<---has a terrible fear of heights though and HATES going skiing
<---cannot handle the hills even though she can ski fine - just wigs out due to the elevation and "cliff" like trails... :(

<--- tells Liann that the corporate cash-in stuff starts in September here!
<--- sees signs saying book your Christmas party here etc.
<--- just ignores them. Christmas doesn't start for <--- until December then decorates house a few days before Christmas and keeps it all up till January 4th (12th night).
<--- is doing present planning though
<--- thinks Liann's ski trip sounds great!
<--- has never been skiiing and would love to try it!
<--- offers swaps with house in Oxford!!!!;-)

<---doesn't decorate at all for Christmas
<---isn't a Scrooge, really!
<---is just never home to enjoy it, so why bother with the mess?

<---used to be the same as Shannon, since we always traveled over Christmas
<---says now everyone comes to us, so decorations are in order
<---has cut back a bit and never did do the outdoor lights
<---probably is a cousin of Scrooge
<---would rather put her energy in cookies - Yum

<--- thanks Robin, Nancy and Shelly for the kind family comments
<--- explains that <--In-laws are very special and hates to see them not celebrate the holiday with anyone.

<--- keeps holiday decorations to a minimum
<--- but some how still has too much to put away come January
<--- usually makes a choice between cookie baking and card sending
<--- is a bit stressed because <-- is behind on shopping
<--- is trying NOT to feel that way though

<--is really glad Tristan is okay!
<--is totally impressed with Nancy's mom being in the Lands' End catalog
<--is getting excited for the holidays
<--loves to decorate, bake, shop, etc.
<--is going to decorate the dreaded china cabinet for Christmas
<--hopes <--won't have as many issues as last year!!!:7
<--only has to work TWO days this week
<--is really happy about that one
<--hopes everyone is having a great day
<--will try to bbl

<--is sitting in her office eating a Seinfeld salad
<--was overwhelmed with unexpected work today
<--wouldn't mind Robin's work schedule at all
<--would work Christmas in return for getting Thanksgiving off
<--often works on Christmas because it's nice and quiet in the office
<--is usually busy at the end of the year
<--does not envy Liann!
<--would be more afraid of being in a tiny cabin with 16 people than skiing and <-- is also afraid of heights
<--tells Liann to relax in the ski lodge and drink hot toddies :D

ETA:<--remembers that there was a pic of Mom holding a pile of sweaters in all different colors and the caption read something like "I have more (whatever the name of the sweater was) than anyone! :7
<--says it was a hoot
