Walking Does Wonders for Cellulite

Ok well I want to confirm this I am 39 and up until about a year ago I never worried about cellulite.

I exercise hard between Cathe during the summer and a gym I even went on a running kick. Nothing worked. I felt like walking wasn't an exercise. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!! I am up to 6 miles and I walk fast I try to walk 5 days a week and when I take my strides I make sure I can feel it working in the back of my legs and bumm. My cellulite is at bay!!!!!! I also am pear shaped I gain muscle very easily in my thighs so I have noticed this is slimming on my thighs as well. So anyone that is struggling with cellulite the walking is a miracle cure.

I leave for Michigan in 2 weeks for the summer, I'm hoping to move up to 7 miles. It's going to be hard. I have so many trails here in Florida and nothing in my area of Michigan and I am not a treadmill lover. So walking in circles in my moms subdivision will have to do.
 
I agree. Walking is like the magic bullet. When I first got my dog I dropped 5 lbs. so quickly I couldn't believe it. It definitely tones your legs and helps with cellulite. My friend who is 66 years old, never exercised in her life except for walking has amazing trim strong cellulite free legs. She started walking to get rid of stress and just kept it up. Not a day goes by--regardless of weather, she lives in New England--that she doesn't walk. I have to admit she makes it look all so simple!
 
What a great testimonial! I walk every day with the dog but don't get up to a good clip because I am always "worried" about stepping on her, and I am always correcting her behavior so that she walks next to me. Maybe I should stop worrying about her and MOVE!

That's awesome, Beth! Congratulations!! I don't walk much, and I can't really call myself a runner, but I started jogging last year and I have noticed a difference in my legs (and the degree of cellulite :eek:) since I started. Good luck reaching your 7-mile goal! YOU CAN DO IT!!! :D
