Waist gain

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone would be able to answer the question, why did I go down in measurements in everything including body fat percent but go up in the size of my waist. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. It's probably been a year since I did any measurements.

Really just giving you a bump here but also wondering... was your waist already in its "naturally perfect" measure zone? I guess Im wondering since we all store fat in different places if maybe your waist didnt really have any fat to lose? Other than that thought I am waiting to see the gurus answers as well. Interesting

Just some possibilities:

Are you anywhere close to menopause? Hormonal changes could be contributing to it.

Are you doing weighted ab work? That might be contributing as well.

Is the gain in muscle size or in fat? If it's fat, supposedly cortisol causes increases of fat storage in the abdominal area (and cortisol can be caused by stress, including the stress of overly-intense exercise).

Kathryn, Thanks for the ideas. I am 43, not doing weighted ab work but am probably overdoing intense exercise. All good ideas, I will work on the exercise one. I can't do much about the other one. Thanks
