Waist experiment

What do you think about this……

I have Diastasis recti and it is from the bottom of my sternum to an inch or 2 below my belly button. I finally figured out why my belly button is not an "inny" anymore! I have been doing the Mummy Tummy exercises and using the splint for the last 3 weeks. I have seen a difference! My question is this, the Tupler splint itself is too small to cover my waist adequately, I thought about wearing something like this while I exercise to hold in my waist tightly while doing ab work and to help make me aware of keeping proper form:

I truly believe that I can turn things around. I have not gained any extra weight since my third and my waist popped back after having 2 kids 18 months apart. My problem was that I worked my abs incorrectly before and after my pregnancy which exacerbated the problem. What do you think?

You should ask Cathe, she has the same thing and has talked about in the Ask Cathe thread!:)

I'm pretty sure I have Diastasis recti. Never knew what it was until I started reading some of the posts on this forum. I wake up in the morning with a flat stomach, but I get bloated as soon as I eat and my belly button pops out. This didn't happen with my first 2 kids, but I'm thinking it's because I had kids so close together (3 in 3.5 years)

I'm not familiar with Mummy Tummy exercises or the Tupler splint. I wonder if all the ab/core work I'm doing is making the problem worse. I'm willing to try anything to get rid of this. I have about a 25 inch waist, so I'm not sure if the Tupler splint would be something that would work for me or possibly the spanx idea.

Wow 3 kids in 3.5 years! My first 2 are 11 and 9 and all I did at the time was the Firm and Cathe step tapes. My 3rd is 2.5 and my workouts consisted of Turbokick and Cathe tapes. I think that because I used heavier weights and did alot more core work I trained my muscles wrongly during and after my pregnancy. I never had a problem with the Firm (there wasn't alot of weight used 35lbs max) and I did very little core work. My waist is 26 inches and the Tupler splint needs to be longer to cover my long waist. I am sure it is working because I don't pop out as much at the end of day. I just want to find something that will be longer and just as effective. I am sure I can make it better, I think it helps to have something push you together while doing ab work. I just think there needs to be more solutions than surgery!
