I am considering buying the hardcore series and was just curious to know is the music on the workouts all instrumental or are there vocals?

At least in the cardio workouts, the music is a mix of vocals and instrumentals. The Stretch Max workouts are, I believe, strictly instrumental, kind of New-Age-Snooze-Muzic. I haven't previewed the muscle conditioning workouts yet, so I don't know about those.

I agree w/A-Jock. There is a mix of instrumental and vocals. However, I think there are a lot of instrumentals particularly in Imax3 and the Gym Style. I do wish there were a bit more vocals and/or more motivating music. I did a body blast dvd today and realized how good the music on that set really is! There are definitely some good songs though on the HC set it is just different.

I have to agree. The music on Gym Style legs at least is sooooooooo dull, it is totally unmotivating. It is a good job I am motivated enough to do the workout anyway or I wouldn't bother with it. Generally speaking, I find the music on the entire series to be unremarkable, very background and I agree with the previous poster, when you go back to the Body Blast series, you realize how much more alive, vibrant and motivating that music is.

Ok, I volunteer to be the weirdo here. I prefer non-vocals. I really thing Cathe's best music was in CTX, some of the Intensities, and only KPC in the Blasts. Now keep in mind this is only my opinion and I have never ever liked top 40 music. That's why the Blast series drives me nuts. I also think that vocals tend to date a workout quicker than non-vocals...

Again, I am in the minority here but thought I'd chime in.

Regardless, all of her workouts are great and there is always the option of turning off the vocals (once you are familar with the workout) and playing your own music instead!

Have fun,

Rhonda:)

There's instrumental and there's instrumental.......

The intrumental music to CTX and Slow & Heavy is motivating. That of hardcores is not, to me. And no, playing my own music isnot an option, it would not necessarily fit the beat and rhythm of the movements.
