I found out about 3 months ago that my vitamin D levels were seriously low. For the past two years I've been tested for everything under the sun and treated for lyme disease despite negative results. I ended up at a rhematologist who ran a number of tests and was smart enough to check my D levels. I have a 4 year old son and thought I'd never be able to really play with him again. Some nights I couldn't walk at all and had a lot of swelling. After 2 full months of 50,000 units of D a week I am finally all better. The reason I post this here is because you see so many people and if you ever hear of anyone complain of unexplained musculoskeletal pain please tell them to have their D levels tested. My GP never thought to check. Low D levels can contribute to a number of cancers - including breast and colon - as well as autoimmune diseases like MS and RA. Apparently sunscreens block out 95% of the bodies ability to absorb vitamin D! I am 36, pale, redhead and my best friend got melanoma at 28 so I avoided the sun like the plague! In the past 2 years I have been unable to exercise very much because of my soft bones - ew gross. I am SO excited that I can finally start using your DVD's again. I'll be starting from scratch but I am so grateful to be starting again!
