Vit C for DOMS?

Someone told me today that to avoid DOMS she will take 1000 mg of Vitamin C and a protein drink within an hour of a particularly hard workout. Has anyone tried this?

I personally crave DOMS and I never really get terribly sore so I'm not about to experiment with this but thought I'd pass this on.

I take 2000-4000 mg of Vitamin C during and after my workouts in the form of Emergen C drink mix and a protein shake right after each workout and I have never noticed a decrease in DOMS since doing this. Maybe now that I know it will decrease.}( }( ----the power of suggestion.
