Video advice

I am an advanced exerciser and former dancer. I have (from a few years ago) Step Heat and Step Jam. I would like to expand my Cathe library and need advice on the best tapes that I can get. I wish I could buy them all, but my family does need to have silly things, like, ..food. I have quite a selection of Firms, CIA, Christi Taylor,Crunch, etc. and would appreciate any imput. Thanks so much

Hi Conni,
Step Jam is great fun (not to mention tough and sweaty) but it sounds like you've missed a lot since those two have been out. For a grueling full body workout, give Body Max a whirl. Be patient though, it takes some getting used to, but since you're already advanced you should get on pretty quickly. My favorite strictly cardio step workouts from Cathe are Power Max, Step Fit and Step Works (basically, the contents of Cardio Hits). It'd be hard to choose a favorite between those three if you asked me to, they're all really intense, lots of fun and exceptionally well cued, but I think PM or SF might be better to try first. I like the music and the warm up in Step Fit best, but they're all so great. So, I guess my "essential Cathe picks" for you (since you can't acquire them all right away) would be Body Max and Step Fit. Actually, if you take advantage of the quantity discounts, buying five at a time (buying four and getting one free I mean) is an outrageously good deal. Instead of paying $19.95 per video and S&H on top of that, you can get five videos for $64.80 all together, that's $12.96 a video. So, if you decide to do that, I'd recommend Body Max, Power Max, Step Fit, Step Works and Maximum Intensity Strength. That's quite a lot (and a good variety) for your money! And if you love those so much that you have to have more (expect it), you can always try trading on the Video Exchange at videofitness.com. Hope that helps. Have fun and be well!

Thank you so much, your info was just what I was looking for. I know I missed a good chunk of time with Cathe, so I really needed the info you gave me. Thank you so much and God Bless you.

You're so welcome, glad I could help! Hope you have a great time catching up with Cathe, she's a blast. Take care Conni & God bless you too! :)

Totally, absolutely agree with Brinley's picks.

But, if you can't get all 5, I'd say "BodyMax" and "MIS" are must-haves, since you seem to have lots of cardio tapes already.

And MIS's tempo is slower than most FIRM strength tapes, so it's a nice change of pace (and effective!)
