Very anxious about dr's appt;. (nervous!)

Hey ladies,

Just needed to turn to you ladies while I am sitting here nervous about my dr's. appt. I have had achilles Tendonitis for about 8 months and still haven't got back to my active self. I have gotten crappy physical therapy in this time which has set me back. I have gotten some good advice and tips from some but still think I shouldn't do it own my own (I thought I could there for a while). I haven't seen the doctor since Oct. and I really want something to be done! I want some kind of direction to be given that may start putting me in recovery. I have been told so many different things that I don't know what's right anymore. I should be able to go up on my toes by now and I think alot more.

I am too young and active to be kept down like this. Yes I am doing upperbody, but with the weight of the dumbbells the weight aggravates my foot. But I still do this the best I can. They can't take that away from me too!

Pray for me ladies that something positive will come out of my dr. visit.

Thanks so much,

kim

I'm keeping good thoughts for you Kim. How frustrating! I'm sure it will all be ok in the end, though. hugs!

Awwwe, Kim! I hope it gets better for you as quickly as possible. You do sound terribly frustrated with what you are only able to do. But hey! At least you are doing something! The moment I found out I was pregnant, I thought I could to stop all exercise. I was so ignorant at that time.

I do hope you get good PT. Try to find a good sports doctor, an orthopedist or even a podiatrist. You need to go to the specialists. And most of all, don't overdo it out of frustration. Keep us updated.

I would be frustrated too!!! I'm sorry for all you're going through and hope your doctors appointment goes well and gives you some GOOD NEWS for a change!!

Positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way......

Let us know how it goes.

You have my prayers Kim, as a sufferer of Achilles tendonitis a few times myself! I know it can really disrupt working out...:(...What worked for me was constant icing, 3-4 times a day for 15-20 min. Also cutting back my running mileage. But we are all different and I do hope your Doctor can help...:)...Carole

Ahhh Kim,

I am thinking of you and praying it all goes well for you. I know the struggles you been going through are tough. Hang in there! (hugs)
