Valentine's Plans, Anyone?

How are you and your SO celebrating Valentine's? Do you celebrate it?

I woke up this morning to a big box of chocolates and a beautiful card that my husband wrote. We don't need one special day to celebrate our love, but it is nice to have a day that excuses an overindulgence in chocolate! ;) Tonight, I am making a special dinner for him, and hopefully it will turn out okay :p How about you guys?

I'll be working all day, going home, working out, doing some laundry.

My SO will come home from work, probably around 7 (he's out of town today). He will then get on the computer and play his online game with his friends until midnight.

I'm working too. Plans are to leave a little early so I can fit in a workout and pick up DS. DH will be at the dentist. Then we will meet at MIL's nursing home for dinner with her. DS and DH will go home, I have a meeting at church. Then home, maybe open a card, watch some Olympics and to bed. We rarely plan anything special for VD.

I've known my husband for 9 years now, and every year
we would go to the same restaurant and afterwards go see a
movie. Last year was special because he proposed to me on
that day. This year we're postponing it till the weekend because
we started a "house project" and we would like to have
it finished asap so the house does not look like a tornado
passed by. But I do hope I'll get some chocolates, and if not I'll
finish the ones I bought for him. :0)

Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Kathy

DH and I kinda celebrated last week with oils and such! :9 :p Last year DH bought me several candles and some chocolate. Don't know what to expect this year so we will see what happens. I got my children some candies because I don't buy them candies or chocolates very often. DD is hoping someone will send her roses or something. I think she has some admirers out there. DS doesn't have the time for girls right now. He recently broke up with one girl because she talked too much. LOL!

I'm only working until about 11:30 or so in order to go home and pack for MEXICO!!! This afternoon we'll have to take the dogs to the kennel (a sad day for them) and then we are headed to spend the night with our friends - because they live about 45 minutes closer to the airport and we have to leave at 3:30 tomorrow morning to make our 7am flight. We're eating at our favorite restaurant down there before heading over to see our friends. And it's our 13th anniversary today! :)

My plan is to eat a big heaping helping of humble pie. I was so mean to my DH this morning I cannot even believe it. I'm really sick about it and am off now to find the biggest, prettiest orchid or african violet (his favorite flowers) that I can find. We don't really ever celebrate V-day and the source of my vileness had nothing to do with that.

Michele;(

I woke up to a box of chocolate and a card from DH and one from my DS and Clyde!;) :+

We are going to my MIL's for our usual dinner tonight. We normally go out to dinner to celebrate but we decided not to do that this year. We have plans this weekend but they are totally VD un-related!;)

Wendy - what a sweet DH you have! He thought of everyone!

Michele - I hope that your flowers make DH feel better. I HATE when I act in a way that I regret later. :( You're such a sweetie and your DH has been with you long enough (haven't you two been married forever?) that he knows your heart and he knows you're a good person. Good luck!

I don't celebrate Valentines day but I would like to find out what it's like to receive chocolate and flowers one day before I die :) You girls are lucky . :p

LOL! Susan, I'm sure if you were to ask my DH today, he'd tell you that it definitely feels like we've been married FOREVER! It has been 21 years.

Michele :)

You guys, I am so sorry and I don't want to ruin the mood, but every time I see VD the first thing pops into my head is venerial disease! Am I not just the total killjoy? :p

Happy Anniversary, Susan!!!!!! :7:7:7

ETA Michele, I have had my share of humble pie! It doesn't taste good, either. I am sure that DH will be alright. For some reason, they are so much better at forgiving than we are! :)

My DH "surprised" me with flowers (I say "surprised" as I was doing the Gauntlet in the garage at 6AM when he left the house - he never leaves that early!) and he did surprise me with Channel no 5 perfume and a very sweet card. He's taking me to lunch today. Then we're going out for dinner with his boss (which isn't as bad as it sounds - his boss is a good friend of ours and we're going out with him, his wife, his brother and his brother's wife) to a really nice restaurant. No clean eating tonight!! }(

Michele - you know, I was driving to work this morning ranting and raving about stupid things (he got DD the same perfume, he didn't spend as much on my DD as he did on his DD... just stupid things, that seemed big at the time). I almost called him and ranted at him. I was so close. I'm glad I came to my senses and let the rant stay in the car. But, honey, I understand how easy it is to let loose for no reason. HUGS! I hope your DH understands and that you find the perfect something for him. How about the old trench coat with garters underneath at the door?? :+

Missy,

LOL!!! O.k., pull your head out of the gutter. You gutterbug! Gosh, you kill me!!!!! :+ :7  :p :+ :7 I wonder what you will think of come St. Patty's Day???? Please share if you think of something good! LOL!
