Hello everyone, just a quick question. After giving birth to my four large but lovely babies, ihave experienced bladder weakness, plus other embaressing problems etc, went to see my gyn, who said the best course of action was vaginal tightening. Has any one else had this? how long did you take to recover, and did the incontinance etc ,stop.
in short i just want some info before i go ahead with this as this is foreign territory for me.
All replies greatly appreciated

Thanks FITMUM.:+

Do you do your Kegals ??? I had 3 large babies All 9 pounds .All 3 c-sections . I HAD issues of incontinance after each birth But Kegals saved me from surgery . Plus Loosing the extra wieght helps.I would maybe get another opinion or more time Just an idea here Only you know how bad it is ..The only trouble I have now is I gotta empty my bladder before I jump on our Trampoline LOL ...Those darn babies what they do to our bodies LOL . Keep your chin up It will get better with Kegals ,Or surgery ! Good luck:) :)

I had it as part of a hysterectomy/bladder repair. My bladder had dropped outside my body and combined with the force of pushing out babies, a not so great sew up job from and OB who was in a hurry, the bladder hanging against it made kegels worthless.

I am very pleased with the whole repair job - nice not to have my bladder hanging out. I found that the vaginal stitches were really easy to heal. There was kind of a 'rib' of scar tissue that itched a little at first, but it is very smooth now. The tissue down there heals pretty easily. Kind of like healing from birth stitches.

Good luck and feel free to ask more questions.

yes, you could say im a kegal queen, ive done them regularly since my last baby who is now five, if i cough or laugh i leak, im also being scheduled for a histerectomy for prolaps of the womb {ovaries not included}. Im 39 now, and dont want any more kids so this news wasn't too upsetting.

Thanks for your imput

6 weeks, and then I started very slowly and did not overdo it. I did not lift anything for 2 weeks and only did some moderate walking for 4. You must, must, must, must, must, not push yourself. Soft tissue takes a long time to heal and you have the rest of your life to work out.

I am SO HAPPY I did it. The bladder prolapse thingie is GROSS!

Good luck and let me know how it goes!
